Here's a couple of reviews from the same guy on the original CK Orange and the 1K Orange. He hit the CK a little further.
I like Graphite Design shafts. I have the X Directional in my G400 and the MAD in my G425. Talked to Graphite Design and the MAD has a similar profile (weight, bend etc.) as the X Directional, but the MAD has a higher torgue (4.7 to 3.7) which is fine. The MAD basically was the successor to the X Directional.
So I'm sure the 1K Orange has it's own characteristics, but will they prove to be noticeable? My guess is no. The CK and 1K both have a stiffer tip, higher bend point, lower launch, low spin, counter balanced profile etc.. CK stands for Carbon Kevlar. The 1k has the Carbon Weave as well.
BTW both my GD shafts are not counterbalanced and the swing weight / head feel is fine in both my PING heads. One other thing to remember. Find out what playing length the demo club was you hit or what you prefer.
When ordering just the shaft or complete club make sure you tell them what playing length you want. For example I like a 45 1/4" playing length. From Maple Hill Golf. "Length: Driver - 44.25""- From Butt to end of Adapter. Will play around 45.25" depending on the Make and Model with Adapter Installed."
Also, I had both the CK and AV Orange (not the AV Raw) shafts. Ping didn't have the AV 50 when I ordered my G425, so I got the CK 60 (didn't have a CK 50). This was during the pandemic. When the AV 50 came in I got that one and sold the CK 60. Eventually sold the AV 50 as well. lol
Final caveat. It's been shown that shafts don't matter as much as we think. But whether real or imagined you have to feel confident in what you're playing. As we know golf is all about feeling confident swing wise and equipment wise.
