colej their brindle is pretty similar. Near as I can guess, I believe mine is a black mouth Cur or a mix of something with a Cur. Whatever she is, she has the softest coat ever, which is also like a sponge, she gets wet and it’s like it holds onto water, she’s a real pain to give a bath, doesn’t fully dry for hours even after you towel dry her.

Here's a couple of old pics of Ophelia and I, and a pic of Tater, and I from shortly after I got to meet him.
I hate posting pics of our dog since he is pure evil, but here you go. Do not be fooled by the cuteness, the devil wears many faces
The boss, … and our King Charles
Had to take The Sophie to the University of Florida Emergency vet in Ocala last night. She started vomiting and squirting liquid poop yesterday mid-day. Lethargic, no appetite, vomiting continued until it became bloody at about 10pm. 45 minutes later, she's at the vet. X Rays, blood work, Parvo test all negative/unremarkable. Diagnosed as having eaten something evil. They IV'd her full of fluids, injected nausea meds and sent her home with us at 1:30 AM. She's already improving and ate her RX mild food from the doc. I think it's passed, whatever the hell it was. Bloody vomit was just due to too much vomiting. Gastroenteritis. I gotta watch her closer when walking her. EVERYTHING goes into her mouth.
sdandrea1 Glad she seems to be improving. That sounded pretty scary, but hopefully she makes a full recovery.

Good to hear she is doing better. One of ours is that way as well, she can't walk by anything on the ground without trying to pick it up. Pieces of mulch, fallen crabapples, dried worms after it rains, goose & rabbit shit (her favorite), etc... all have to be picked up.
sdandrea1 Glad all is well, did you count the geese, any missing?
