Actually, it was Plum, of all people, that gave them the win. Horrible baseline TO that put the ball in the Fever's hands with only 1.9 seconds to play.
Overall play by either team was not really great. No 'runs' so to speak, and the Fever were behind just about the whole game, except briefly in the 3rd Q. LA was set up differently than normal, playing a perimeter game. Fever did have the inside tied up (Boston with 7 offensive rebounds!), mainly due to that fact.
Sims is PG. Lots of points, but not even high in assists with only 3. This is not the 1st game she's had like that. They still have no one to 'run the floor', so it seems.
There was no run-gun; right out of the gate it was slow play, that at times seemed disjointed. From both sides.
And Mitchell....again....with those 'attempted' driving layups, passing up open paint shots sometimes. This time with Brink standing right under the basket. She just does not understand that she is not getting a foul call, no matter how many times she lands on her ass under the rim!
But, no fouls. In fact, I don't think a whistle blew the entire 1st Q. Fever only shot 10 FTs the whole game. I guess there is not much to complain about any longer as this has been the case every game this season.
But Lexi got a T from the bench for complaining about such, when LA got 'a call'.π²
Powers is making a case for starting somewhere next season.
Not sure why all of the sudden Turner is getting play time and Stimpson is sitting entire games.
Another tough road game coming up Sunday, against a team they have not beat yet. They need wins, need to move up in playoff position so as not to have to face the Lynx 1st round.....if they even hang on to get to playoffs.
