Dang. Aliyah lowered her shoulder into, and then elbowed a player hard to the floor and laid the ball into the basket without even a hint of worry from the refs. I wonder why the Fever are so physical with some teams but let others beat them up?

Horrible, with a 76% avg., which is bottom tier of WNBA.
50% tonight so far, last game was same.
Missing them in the 4th Q will lose a lot of games. Or make defeat even worse.

Whistles will come in 4th Q. Esp. if it is a close game.😉 Almost every game I've watched, no matter the teams, no matter what crew, whistles do not work well in the 1st Q nor a lot in the whole 1st half. 13 total so far, but may well end up near 50.

Chloe Bibby is proving to be a very versatile player tonight. Timpson has been working hard off the ball to get open, but everyone is locked in on Boston when they look inside. I hope Caitlin is paying attention to Timpson off the ball.

Not much of a game imo, and def not a view of what's to come. Chicago flat just laid down, and the Fever only beat them by 22. Cardoso only played 1/2 the game, so maybe I missed her dying on court. 3 of their starting 5 only played 1/2 the game. Given, they are not that good even when starting, but still the Fever should take note. (Yes, I realize the Fever had 3 starters that only played about 3 quarters also.)
They scored a lot, made a ton of 3s, but against a very weak team.

Wonder if we'll see Grace Berger back in town? Think she only has 2-3 days left in Dallas. And they cannot keep her.....3rd extension and has to leave.

Par4QC Usually it's the team that gives up on the coach, but every time I saw the Sky coach tonight it looked like he was the one that has given up.

johnnydoom I can't tell if he's a bad coach or a good coach. Have watched a few of their games and he is never excited, one way or the other. Just flatlined in demeanor.
I think Angel has also given up though. She suddenly developed the back problem after the game where she almost had a triple double....points, rebounds......& TOs😲. It was also the game where she hit 7 techs; next one means suspension. She never even traveled to Indy, but I will give her some grace for the fact they go by bus, and if the back is a problem......

Not sure what happened with Cardoso last night. She's had 3 double-doubles in a row. Maybe they did not want her closing in on AR. She only needed 4 more points. Had 12 RBs in only 20 minutes!

The Sky is now looking at a top 4 pick again next year, and with the 'lottery' of that, could end up with the #1 pick again.

edit: that #1 pick would go to the Lynx due to the trade for picking Van Lith!! 🤣Another great shot by the Sky.

Only 12 games left so I imagine she said F it.... I'm playing til I can't.

(When they were saying she got another opinion, they forgot where she came from....where some of the best doctors in the U.S. are located....and she was back there when they stated that....in Iowa, handing out backpacks. I imagine it was somewhat of a ruse in order to get home to doctors she trusts.) jmo

Not much consolation, but at least Caitlin is usually there and spends time autographing for the fans.

johnnydoom It is funny....and telling....when they are on the road and she has so many wanting her to sign things, and so many 'local' fans wearing her clothing.

With the players having agents, and with the internet, why are we only seeing videos/pics of Caitlin doing these things all over the country? One would think players, esp. Angel, would get on their agents to demand vids be made, pics taken and posted of them doing similar.
But then again....I don't think others are doing what she is doing. Unless they get paid for it. And I don't think they are being sought out by fans either.

johnnydoom Apparently there is no trust in Mitchell running the show. Sims has taken Sophie's minutes. Makes no sense. Mitchell has over twice as many assists as Sims, at this point.
Fever looks a bit disjointed. Again.

Sims been watching Angel too much.😉

This is not a game that will be easy the rest of the way. Citron usually catches fire in the 2nd half. And she already started in the 1st!

Par4QC Mitchell’s assists look like quick hits. When she gets the ball she immediately looks to pass unless she thinks she’ll have her own open shot. But if she doesn’t immediately find someone open or shoot the ball she tends to put her head down and dribble in circles.

The two most consistent things I’ve seen from the Fever this year are Stephanie White whining that her team can’t stop the other team from going on big runs, and her lack of success in teaching them how to do so. Hopefully Washington doesn’t have another run in them for the 4th.

She is a very poor teacher as she has not yet learned herself.

21 assists, only 9 TOs. And they lost easily. There is a story in there somewhere.😉

Bibby got butt sores tonight while the 'star' point guard only had 3 assists due to constantly throwing bricks at the backboard(as was Mitchell also). She was only 3rd in assists🤔. Maybe I read it differently when they brought her in, but thought she was to 'run' the floor and is (supposedly)good at it.

They will get beat Sunday also, by the Sun. Bank it now.

How does anyone get 26 foul shots, grab 32 rebounds.....yet only commits 2 fouls???......I repeat....she got 32 rebounds.

Par4QC Some players are allowed much more leeway than others. Don't know the reason why or who drives it, but there is a reason, a coordinator, and much collaboration. Whatever it is, it has nothing to do with fans or the rules of the game. That much is pretty clear.
