MidwayJ Was he one of the ones who started that other site (golfhos)?
Correct.
gwog was an active poster there too, after he left FGI.

MidwayJ And seemed like Puttinfool got under everyone's skin at one time or another.
He and Spuzz were close
Non-drinker vs. rumaholic didn't mix well
LOL
He also bragged about his free shipping perk due to the military.
He took a lot of flak for that for that too.
@PA-PLAYA has a good story about him from the Melee outings,IIRC.
LogicalOne I remember Christian (can’t remember his username) and he started a golf company.
Didn't he handle a lot of Infiniti products? I do remember buying quite a bit from his place.
User name and co. also escapes me.
It's hell getting old, isn't it?
@LBlack14 might remember.
LogicalOne Memories are getting triggered for me by these posts, lol. Like people getting confused by his name thinking the company was owned by brothers. Also, what did he call his own component driver head?
LogicalOne Can’t remember if he broke off from Bryant (sp) or something?
I believed so but apparently he was with Jody and Accuflex.
I also recall he was religious (Catholic) and his company name was Mission golf or something like that. Not sure.
Remember when jramers tried to have a couple moderators run FGI for him?
And they tried to have a closed door online meeting, but left the portal access OPEN,
and some of us got to hear/read who and what they were talking about! LOL
That mods experiment didn't last too long.
FGI Chatroom was also a riot, especially in the winter months (for me) and late Friday nights when the AZ Mafia joined in. Had 20+ guys posting comments that scrolled down the screen.
It was hard to keep up with all the conversations, especially after having a few rums. lol
Par4QC I always missed Persimmon after he left.....for unknown reasons/causes.
He, along with a number of prior members, including JDerion and Blader got a little fed-up with the P&R sub-forum. All intelligent "liberals", they grew frustrated with some less than flexible conservatives. Fortunate for them they've been gone pre-2016!
KCee My wife said "fine" initially but then realizes I'll be golfing with "random guys from some golf forum" (her words) and shuts me down.
That's the best! My Ex used to go bonkers about what she called "your imaginary friends". That all came to an end when she met some FGI'ers in-person and then was gifted a set of women's clubs, donated and built for her after she'd contracted breast cancer. She even received a brief lesson from gwog in our backyard!
MidwayJ Yeah Ode mentioned that before. CoachSB apparently got caught with his pants down when that happened.
Although, their frank discussion pretty much accurately covered their assessment of several members, myself included. They were accurate and the faux pas was really funny!
I started out on 4GEA and probably became aware of FGI there. I was mostly looking for parts & info to build & modify golf clubs. Spent most of the time in the buy/sell/trade stuff. I read a lot of the conversations, but didn’t interact in them much, but found the talk entertaining. Somewhere along the way, Spuzz directed me to GB.
