So Walter, you’re swinging a bare shaft, just the grip, nothing on the other end?

Typhoon not a true bare shaft to that extent.
This shaft does have an adapter, screw, 2 steel washers, one plastic washer, one rubber washer, and a zip tie. The plastic washer, rubber and zip tie all came with the aeroswing. Those 3 items weigh in at 20 grams. Adapter, screw, ferrule, and washers weigh in at about 25 grams. So 45 grams more than a true bare shaft. Shaft is also about 45.5" long.
By bare shaft I'm referring more to lack of wind resistance devices. It's easier and faster for me to just pull both, instead of walking over and grabbing a true bare shaft. Hey, I'm lazy... 😁😉. Here the tip end ,so you can see what I'm trying to describe. Screw holds both steel washers, plastic washer and gives a solid base for the rubber washer. The rubber washer has the zip tie around it to keep it from moving on the adapter.

Walterjn Nice Walter, also serves to help with the riff raff while hauling horse around God's green acres.😎

Walterjn Good, I was hoping you weren’t swinging a shaft with no weight on the end.

I have a “Speed Whoosh” as well that I swing along with my Superspeed ones

Bravopilot nope, this assembly stays at home... I do have a couple of old worn out clubs in the truck that can be used as such to keep riff raff away.

OK. I went out and had a session this morning. My best bare shaft speed was 125.
I went and played 9 holes this afternoon, didn't play all that well. Swing was feeling good, ball contact wasn't quite there. After that I did the range with my flightscope mevo.
I hit my 8 iron, low swing speed was 75, high was 88. I only took 5 swings with that more because I wanted to hit my 5 and 4 irons. With my 5 iron, low swing speed was 85, and my high was 96.8.
My 4 iron low speed was 90.2 with a high speed of 103.
I pulled 3 balls I found on the course a while ago and hit those with my 3 wood, just to get some idea as to my speed with that. Low swing speed was 103.6, high was 110.2
Now like I said, ball contact wasn't there as much as I'd like.
I also wasn't feeling like I was trying all that hard to get those speeds. I was quite surprised to see that my 5 iron was was in the 90s, more often than not. My 3 wood speed was a surprise as well, most of the time I haven't been able to get my driver speed up that high... possibly a mental block, I'll have to get to a bigger range and really sew if I can get it faster.

PapaD @sdandrea1 TL;DR. Swing speed is getting faster, real world range testing is showing that.

I also did a speed session after golf and range time. Speeds were about the same as this morning's session. So, maybe the consistency is a good thing.

I didn't have a speed session yesterday, as I played and was a bit tired. Today, I did do a speed session. After my morning at the course running a backpack blower. I also discovered that I had the swing radar pointing a little low, which was reading the speed lower than it was.
Before the height adjustment, I was seeing a high speed of 106 max with one pineapple, after the adjustment my speed with one pineapple was 115. With just the bare shaft, my 1st swing was 139, and my absolute max speed was 142. Out of the 10 bare shaft swings, only 2 were lower than 130, those 3 were 121, 127, and 128.

PapaD TL;DR Bare shaft speed is continuing on an upward climb.

Walterjn So have you used the radar when hitting balls at the range? How is your speed and accuracy now?

Typhoon define accuracy... ball direction? Or ball striking?? Direction, well, they all go away from me toward the other end of the driving range😉😁.. ball striking, still needs a lot of work on that. My last range session, I hit 47 balls. Of those, 28 of them had a smash of 1.20 or above. Only 7 of them were below 1.00.
These shots are the ones I keep record of; everything that doesn't register gets deleted. It doesn't show more than one or 2 stats for the shot. Most of the time it doesn't show distance, club speed, or smash. Some of them were practice swings as well.

Walterjn I mean bottom line, do you see where it’s helping you on the course? Make sure you don’t lose your swing by just trying to swing hard.

Typhoon my longer irons are easier to hit, my 4 and 5 irons. My 5 iron had 7 shots with a smash under 1.20. My swing speed with it is between 90- 96 mph, without feeling like I'm trying. My 4 iron, I can get the speed up to 100+, but my ball striking suffers. So I'm working on gaining the speed so that when I'm not trying, my speed is up there and I can see about keeping my ball striking up. My best strikes were when my club speed was 90-93, granted I have plenty of piss poor striking at those speeds as well.
Here's my last range session 4 iron, with a few 5 iron shots.

Walter do you see much difference in shot quality? For example my driver swing speed is around 95-97 on normal on course driver swings. Yes I could ramp it up over 110 easily but I might not ever find the ball and my back would probably suffer. Wondering if this is making golf better, same, or worse? You are certainly dedicated and working hard. Would love to hear how this pays off in your golf game

bigshank not sure about shot quality. When playing at my little course, I have had to take one club less for most holes. I haven't had a chance lately to hit a range that I can hit driver at. I'm thinking about changing that either tomorrow, or next week. I'd like to play a larger course and see if I'm able to get some real world testing done.
I'll start with the range 1st, and see what I can do there.

Walterjn With one club less are you hitting more greens in regulation? I don’t know if you keep any stats but GIR will lead to an easier round and lower scores.

Typhoon par 3 holes require a little more accuracy than I currently have. That said, yesterday I went around 2x. One off the forward tees, and once off the back tees. I carded a 5 over from the forward, and 4 over from the back. My strikes weren't quite that great on a few holes, my chipping made up for that.
