Totally agree. As Solheim said, itβs a perception thing. He was one of the first golf club engineers obviously to understand and recognize the importance of impact sound and the relationship between sound and feel, as well as differentiating mishits by the impact sound. Super fascinating stuff and he really doesnβt get enough credit for everything he has given to the equipment side of the game.
The whole perception thing is exactly what I was thinking 4 or 5 years ago when I was just having some fun moving golf equipment and had a run of several Krank heads. Most of those heads were loud (much like the SMT Encore, but different pitch) but people were snatching those up right and left and paying premium prices. Again, itβs just fascinating stuff! π
