Eguller sdandrea1 Ratified contract today. So...you are now a poor homeless soul. NO - that's good. ð
sdandrea1 Inspection contingency expires Thursday. They've already verbally agreed to do the minor repairs needed and have asked us the re-secure 4 of the clay roof tiles that slid down a bit. They also put $40k into escrow deposit . They're cash buyers. Looking like we're under contract.

sdandrea1 I posted an ad asking for moving boxes and found a couple that just moved into the subdivision next to me and have just begun unpacking. I have the hit the box jackpot! I picked up 3 loads today. They're unpacking, cutting them flat and stacking them for me in their garage. I just drop by whenever and grab what's available. ð
Bravopilot sdandrea1 BTW, you can get boxes free from USPS & UPS, they deliver free. I had them send me a bunch, plan to send via Pirate Ship for the easy stuff. Showed up quickly too.
sdandrea1 I just got another call from a family who just moved in to our hood. They're flattening and stacking boxes for me. I'm up to 104 at home now and just scratching the surface. Got 7 wardrobe boxes, and a nice mix of small medium and large both light and HD.
Bravopilot sdandrea1 Which mover did you go with? Not sure my stuff is worth the cost of moving and I already had to furnish my house in Las Cruces. Seemed so simple when moving in the Air Force. The transportation people were very good. My biggest move was 27,000 lbs, now not so much living alone. No wife, nothing is special to me that can't fit in the cars. Giving most stuff away.
sdandrea1 Bravopilot Allied. Cost to move 14k pounds is about $8k with me packing it all except the TVs.

bad9 Rickochet I moved 750 miles south last June. Packed the house myself and had a uHaul. The uHaul cost me about $2200 and with expenses for the 3 day trip(had to get 2 ferries one of which was a 7hr overnight crossing) it was just shy of $3k.
Rickochet sdandrea1 Same price from 3 vendors. If I let them pack it, it's over $12k. Man, you really are "getting packed", no? ðĪŠ
Bravopilot sdandrea1 Back to thinking get a truck and have my son drive west with one car on a trailer. Or, donate all and have him drive 1 car out. Paying to bring him back anyway, put him to work.
Bravopilot bad9 I'm doing 2000 miles, UHaul truck pulling a car trailer is $2900+gas; Uhaul UPack with people helping to load/unload about $4600 Have not talked to any movers yet, just estimates from their websites.
