Ole Miss starting QB (Dart) goes out after injuring ankle and throws a pick leading to a Dawgs TD. Red-shirt freshman (Simmons) goes in for Ole Miss and leads a Swiss cheese TD drive. Just carved up Georgia's D. Dart returns to the sideline and warms up.

Biggest drama of the day is will Lane Kiffin go back to Dart or stick with Simmons?

Update. Kiffin goes with Jaxson Dart. Simmons won't be on the bench very long if Dart stumbles.

White Out in Happy Valley has turned into a Wipeout. 28-0 at the half. View on Peacock.

jsippy73 Washington 5-4 is not much of last years team. Traveling east not a recipe for success. Minnesota found that out this morning traveling to Piscataway, NJ. As did Iowa traveling to the Rose Bowl last night. As did Georgia traveling to Oxford, MS this afternoon. Home field advantage is huge in college football.

That said Alabama so far is impressive at Death Valley Baton Rouge, LA tonight.

Just got done watching Alabama beat LSU badly.
      42-13.
Alabama has a heck of a qb.

With Georgia's loss to Ole Miss today, it will be interesting to see how the SEC shakes out and which SEC teams ultimately make the playoff.

MidwayJ I don't know which teams will make it from the SEC, but I don't have tremendous confidence in any that do finishing as champion right now. Texas stands out at the moment, but they're likely to get a very physical game from A&M in the last game. Tennessee, Georgia, and Alabama all have very inconsistent offenses, but Tennessee's defense looks like it might carry them into the playoffs. Maybe someone from that pack will go on a solid run, but it looks pretty shaky to me. Ole Miss has looked pretty convincing in the past two weeks, but that Kentucky loss still weighs on them.

Peacock sucks! I've multiple streaming services. Only Peacock can't deliver a clear broadcast. Constant jitter with their picture.

MidwayJ I'm trying to figure out the 5th conf that would get in but it seems that would be the highest ranked non power 5 conference winner🤔. So right now Boise St, but Army also in that running. I'm also wondering if Washington St. is still considered to be in a conference, although unlikely they get in as they lost to Boise St, but if someone beats Boise St. , they would also have a chance if they win out. With the ACC and B12 being weak/er/est of the power 5 4, their conf. champion may well bounce a better team that does not win their conf. championship. Miami is going to fall and if they don't play for their conf. championship they might be on the outside looking in. Same goes for Indiana, they have Ohio St ., if they lose they won't fall much in the rankings but are gonna have a hard time leap frogging a 2 loss SEC team🤔. It's those bubble teams 8-12 that may need things to go their way come conf. championship time.

ode I guess it will depend to some extent on whether the ACC and Big 12 conference champions are upset winners. If they only take one team from each of those conferences, it leaves a lot of room for multiple non conference champs. Somebody on one of the broadcasts yesterday suggested 4 teams each from the SEC and Big 10 could get in. That would only leave 4 teams from everywhere else, so I am skeptical about that and wouldn't want to see it. I think Indiana gets in for sure, though, if they finish the season with just one loss to Ohio State.

In the end Indiana will in all probability get in with a 1 loss season but a very weak schedule. Wins against W. ILL, FIU, UCLA when they sucked early, Charlotte, Maryland, Northwestern, Washington, Mich St., Mich. and probably win vs. Purdue. IU is decent but no powerhouse so we'll see next week how they do on the road in Columbus.

Iowa St. dropping like a lead balloon.

In my reality if you are a fan of the game of college football then you root for Army, Navy and Air Force as they are the schools that don't use NIL and the transfer portal.

In the 2024 college football playoffs, under the 12-team playoff format that begins this fall, the four highest-ranked conference champions will be seeded one through four and each will receive a first-round bye, while teams seeded five through 12 will play each other in the first round on the home field of the higher-ranked team. (The team ranked #5 will host #12; team #6 will meet team #11; team #7 will play team #10; and team #8 will meet #9.) The quarterfinals and semifinals will be played in the New Year's Six bowl games, the national championship game will continue to be at a neutral site. No conference will qualify automatically and there will be no limit on the number of participants from a conference. <---- Home field advantage will be huge!

MidwayJ thats what I was thinking the odds are at this point 4 from each SEC/B1G. ACC, B12, and 5th conf. champ and then 1 more team = Notre Dame unless they lose again, then that opens it up for a 5th SEC team OR a scenario where BYU loses the conf championship and sneaks in OR Miami does not play for the conf. Championship with 1 loss and sneaks in. Re Indiana it only matters what the committee thinks. I mention them as they have beat NOBODY all year and although I think they are solid, I look at them and Miami in the same light, although Miami has beaten Louisville, so they have one win over a ranked opponent they also have beaten nobody (else) all year. SMU or Clemson will need to win the conf. championship to get which will essentially bounce a bubble team. Same goes for Colorado. IMO Indiana needs to pass some sort of eye test vs. Ohio St , if they get boat raced, i could see them getting passed over by a 1 loss Miami, 1 loss BYU, or a 2 loss SEC team.

ode I agree Indiana getting routed by Ohio State would be a big negative, probably causing them to get passed over. Penn State hasn't beaten anyone, either, but at least their game with OSU was reasonably close. I think Indiana will play well against OSU, though.

"It's simple, really. I win. Google me." 🔥

In my view, Curt Cignetti is the single most interesting thing about college football. Hoosier daddy?

We'll see what they do when they face the big boys. As talked about, Cignetti gets his chance 11/23 at The Horseshoe. Win that one and things are going to get very interesting in Indiana.

MidwayJ I hope so......cheering for them and other B1G teams. Seems like SEC/B1G get pitted against each other a fair amount in bowl games, should be interesting to see how those matchups shake out in the playoff!

                    Why did this happen?

Because, this happened. If the holding call was bad, I agree with the AD.

And, the call. Should the AD have gone off like that? Reminds of the Cincinnati SB loss.
