jsippy73 apparently there is an emphasis on "walking over" the tackled defender while talking trash. It's odd as these guys talk trash in their sleep and the focus on that seems petty. It would have been 4th and a punt but the penalty is an auto first down. I guess you have to step to the side and talk sh1t

johnnydoom What does U Mass charge for these games? Another school moving up in class. Next, they are scheduled to lose to Liberty and Goergia
Here's a large reason why SMU after moving to Power 5 ACC got so good so fast and knocked off Pitt 48 - 25 last night. Oil money thru NIL goes a long way. This now is the modern college football scene.

Well, while your point is accurate, and my Pitt boys got their asses kicked, this form of reimbursement is both the same as before yet quite different. Now there’s transparency. Before it was under the table. Regardless, the schools/teams with great wealth (and boosters) still hold the advantage.

Here's some facets of NIL that most aren't aware of. https://www.on3.com/nil/news/texas-gov-greg-abbott-signs-transformative-nil-bill-ncaa/
This one of SMU's largest collective NIL groups that fuel their football and basketball programs. Most large booster groups have these in place but know that their are ways of states using legislation like TX has to get around the NCAA. https://www.on3.com/nil/collectives/boulevard-collective-114/
It's kinda like large market baseball teams vs. small market teams in MLB.
This is one of the reasons Nick Saban left college football coaching as he couldn't corral all the major talent as in the past.
Bravopilot What does U Mass charge for these games?
MS State paid UMASS $175k. At least they got a win for the investment. They paid Toledo a whole bunch more and got paid back with an embarrassing whuppin.
Miami looked poised for another last minute comeback win and then Georgia Tech strip sacked Cam Ward to preserve the win.

Ole Miss starting QB (Dart) goes out after injuring ankle and throws a pick leading to a Dawgs TD. Red-shirt freshman (Simmons) goes in for Ole Miss and leads a Swiss cheese TD drive. Just carved up Georgia's D. Dart returns to the sideline and warms up.
Biggest drama of the day is will Lane Kiffin go back to Dart or stick with Simmons?
Update. Kiffin goes with Jaxson Dart. Simmons won't be on the bench very long if Dart stumbles.
White Out in Happy Valley has turned into a Wipeout. 28-0 at the half. View on Peacock.
Notre Dame looking real good tonight.
jsippy73 Washington 5-4 is not much of last years team. Traveling east not a recipe for success. Minnesota found that out this morning traveling to Piscataway, NJ. As did Iowa traveling to the Rose Bowl last night. As did Georgia traveling to Oxford, MS this afternoon. Home field advantage is huge in college football.
That said Alabama so far is impressive at Death Valley Baton Rouge, LA tonight.
braveheart I hope you are saying that tongue in cheek against 1-8 Seminoles?
Just got done watching Alabama beat LSU badly.
42-13.
Alabama has a heck of a qb.
With Georgia's loss to Ole Miss today, it will be interesting to see how the SEC shakes out and which SEC teams ultimately make the playoff.

MidwayJ I don't know which teams will make it from the SEC, but I don't have tremendous confidence in any that do finishing as champion right now. Texas stands out at the moment, but they're likely to get a very physical game from A&M in the last game. Tennessee, Georgia, and Alabama all have very inconsistent offenses, but Tennessee's defense looks like it might carry them into the playoffs. Maybe someone from that pack will go on a solid run, but it looks pretty shaky to me. Ole Miss has looked pretty convincing in the past two weeks, but that Kentucky loss still weighs on them.
johnnydoom I hope Ole Miss gets in. They are fun to watch.
