scotts33 ode Here's what is lost in all of this. Wisconsin hosted Military Appreciation Day with Veterans Day upcoming on Tuesday. Luke Fickell's Dad Pat Fickell was a Vietnam veteran a Marine infantry M-60 gunner. Luke has always supported his Dad's service. I attended as a Vietnam veteran and Wisconsin alumni with my daughter also a Army veteran in Iraq to support the football team and the University. To me the game was secondary and the college traditions of football and spirit are intact. Modern portal/NIL has tarnished the legacy but overall I still think the passing on elements of college culture from generation to generation are viable.

Par4QC professor Great, in fact. But with only 234 yds./game, I think there may be other team member(s?) contributing to his stats. I can imagine his TD passes have been mainly very short, given the RBs & WRs stats. He is not Heisman quality. JMO

Par4QC azgreg 👍 A fair amount of NCAA QBs with nice TD-INT ratios. And we will never hear of them, nor will they ever be nominated for prestigious awards, like a Heisman.
