The vast majority of golfers out there don't know how to build golf clubs. Stuff like Golfworks, SMT, Hireko, etc, certainly offer a much better value, but that option only appeals to the maybe 0.5% of golfers who build their own clubs.

P.S. I ordered a set to try them out of curiosity. I also want to put together a full "Kirkland" bag just for fun! Already have the wedges, the putter, the balls, the gloves, now the irons.... just need the driver to complete the set.

At less than half the price of the TM P790, they could be. 🤔

Eguller if the shaft and grip suit you then ....yeah not bad. I'm not in the market for these type of clubs, but if I were I'd look at Sub70, the original 699/Pro can be had for ~ the same price +/- and with a plethora of grip/shaft and loft /lie options. There are others, not to mention Golfworks TS1, 2, IM.

I thought the pics of the driver looked good. Interested to see what the shaft will be in that!

I will guess most of us here are not.
Target market is OEM buyers, imo, so price is key.
People buying that kind of golf stuff at Costco have never heard of, or would consider, Sub70 et al, as I/we would.

I played the 699 Pro this season and they were excellent clubs.

If the Kirkland's are on par, they'll sell quickly!

Exactly. My previous point was that the Costco buyer is comparing them to TM, Cally, PING etc.
and seeing a bargain.

I think the Costco kool aide is something altogether different, it is almost OEM like the way the customers believe the KSig product is going to be a quality product no matter what but at the Costco price. here we have a "likely" open model with their branding and suddenly walaa, a quality product, that folks are willing to buy vs. say a component or DTC, which some inherently view as interior!. DTC product but OEM following🤔. In the end it's good people aren't having to shell out 1k+ for a set!
