rsvman2 I think most modern driver heads come in between maybe 193 and 200; average is probably 195-198.

That would be the non-adjustable heads. I've tried several brands of the new heads with adapters and find most are 203-206, which has to include the adapter as it is the hosel. TM may be the lightest at 200, w/adapter.

Steve started the No Brainers out to be around 205, but later lightened them some. The heavier ones were the best, from my experiences, much like the heads today are.

backinit It'll be the same price as the LST is my guess. The LST is I think $50 more than the SFT and current Max because they don't have carbon like the LST does. The 10K loses the adjustable weight.

Bravopilot I’ll have one at some point. Pings for me are crazy easy to hit already. This thing is the successor to the g400 max to me.

Ping came out with the whole g400 line of metal woods and then came out with the G400max later and people were PISSED because it was so good and should have come out with the others.

Now they’re doing it again…. Upgrading to the carbon fiber crown, higher moi and spin between the 420 max and the LST. Like the G400max, they made the ultimate driver again and released it after the other ones.

The ball is still going to go where you hit it, and as far as your crappy swing allows. You swung at the trees, even though you didn't think you did🤔.....you can expect to be in the trees. No driver is going to put that ball in any fw.

Par4QC Nothing that you’ll probably notice at that handicap. The 430 max is plenty straight…. Someone might notice that over whatever they currently have but a high handicapper won’t notice anything between the 430 and the 10k…. But the ones with money think they will.

I saw a g430 LST for $300 a month ago. Almost jumped on it but didn’t. If you are patient there are plenty of deals on their past years clubs. People are soooo crazy they dump it cheap and lose their short just to get something new. Weird generation..

All my drivers go the same distance. They just feel and sound different.

Probably not that much. Although increasing the vertical MOI will give slightly more forgiveness on lower hits on the face.

I have both the G400 and G425 in the SFT models and I’m still amazed sometimes where I hit it on the face and still get a good drive.

I’ve hit some drives where there’s only half a ball impression on the top of the face. And the ball still flies out there. Amazing. Of course the USGA wants to take all this forgiveness away in their next rollback. Killjoys.🫤

Typhoon If you are patient there are plenty of deals on their past years clubs.

If you know what you're looking for (and have a decent idea of what fits you), going for a recent model rather than the latest release makes club purchases much more affordable. (That said, Ping clubs do tend to hold their value better than clubs from other manufacturers...)

The PING ad I read clearly stated........"Flies Farther".

A bit of egg on our faces. Everyone can tell when the ball flies farther.

They typically don't pump out 5 new products every season like the others do.
Plus Pings flat out perform. If i didn't get Titleist at cost I would be bagging Pings, do have a400 max as a backup and a couple eye 2 wedges in the bag.
Ping makes up most of my bag that stays in Phoenix.

Weirfan I get my TM drivers for free but I prefer the Ping driver performance… I’ll pay for that. I don’t get paid to be loyal. I play what works and makes me happy.

No, haven’t had one to hit yet. My poo pooing is mostly the way they look at address. Maybe it’s the ring around the crown, but it’s misshapen to me. At address it looked like I couldn’t go straight back. And the spin on the Plus model was too low. They were just hard to hit. All the reviewers looking back on the OG Stealth say it was their most unforgiving driver ever and the Stealth 2 was not much better.

The Qi10LS is supposed to be crazy low spin. If they called the Stealth Plus the Stealth LS, it would have explained a lot.

No Rex, we are not wrong. Ping is dancing around the facts. And I’ll include the Taylormade Qi10 max as well on this. I spent a couple hours last night watching reviews from some reviewers I trust.

At 160 mph+ ball speeds both clubs spin more and flew shorter than the standard version. They all said that when a club has higher moi it will be shorter. The Ping not as much as the Taylormade. The TM was around 12 yards shorter carry and 20 yards shorter overall.

They were saying the standard G430max is straight enough already. You’re giving up the non movable weight in the 10k and it’s not worth it

I think i read where Morikawa was playing the Qi10 max because he hits it far enough already and just wants straight… but I was suprised it was that much shorter. Again though… these results are at higher ball speeds.

This I’ve never seen the reviewers do, they realized the spin was high so they swing easier to produce a 150 mph ball speed and the spin came down and they were deadly straight. Not any longer…
