Ping G430 10k

This sort of reminds me of when they released the g400 and then later on, the holy grail G400max.

I like the feel/sound of the LST because it has the carbon Fiber wrap whereas the max and SFT models don’t. Movable weight… the 10k won’t have one but I’d it’s that forgiving you don’t need one right?

I'm sure it will be a beast...the Max line have all performed well; seems as if the OG 400 max is the holy Grail. Maybe with a carbon crown the 10k can make some in roads on that title!

ode For some reason Ping drivers perform the best for me. For next year, if I play, I was planning on a G430 LST or Max.

The LST had a better feel with the carbon and I said to myself I bet next year they put carbon in the Max…. Then it’ll be the ultimate driver.

Don’t most of the ping heads have a higher head weight, then most other “OEM” heads?

Maybe that’s what you like or your swing agrees with?

colej Maybe he heavier head weight is the secret sauce. They don’t feel heavier to me.

Typhoon If I remember right, Almo said when he tested various driver head weights with random players, almost universally people preferred sightly higher weight heads. I think he said 201-203 grams? Maybe even 205?

I think most modern driver heads come in between maybe 193 and 200; average is probably 195-198.

rsvman2 good point. My z785 weighed 193.2g, it now weighs about 210g. It feels better to me, and has a more muted sound.

That would be the non-adjustable heads. I've tried several brands of the new heads with adapters and find most are 203-206, which has to include the adapter as it is the hosel. TM may be the lightest at 200, w/adapter.

Steve started the No Brainers out to be around 205, but later lightened them some. The heavier ones were the best, from my experiences, much like the heads today are.

I think PING counterbalances their drivers to accommodate the heavier heads. I heard that is what the "CB" stands for on the ALTA CB shaft.

backinit It'll be the same price as the LST is my guess. The LST is I think $50 more than the SFT and current Max because they don't have carbon like the LST does. The 10K loses the adjustable weight.

Bravopilot I’ll have one at some point. Pings for me are crazy easy to hit already. This thing is the successor to the g400 max to me.

Ping came out with the whole g400 line of metal woods and then came out with the G400max later and people were PISSED because it was so good and should have come out with the others.

Now they’re doing it again…. Upgrading to the carbon fiber crown, higher moi and spin between the 420 max and the LST. Like the G400max, they made the ultimate driver again and released it after the other ones.

The 10k is above $600.

The ball is still going to go where you hit it, and as far as your crappy swing allows. You swung at the trees, even though you didn't think you did🤔.....you can expect to be in the trees. No driver is going to put that ball in any fw.

CallMeAl Like I said, I’ll get one but either used, or off a friend who works in a store with his discount but after I sell off some of my demo stuff so it’ll cost me next to nothing.
