Reminds me of the god-awful Cleveland VAS 792, which have the worst playability of any iron produced in the past 100 years.

pellmell Because of the unique design, the MPF measurements were not applicable. It still may have been unforgiving, I don't know. But the measurements assume a hosel at the normal location.

I think using .5902768 would be more accurate than .5092. Other than that, he's pretty close. 🙄

pellmell The measurement that hurt it was the C dimension, because of the inboard hosel. The vertical COG was high, too, but some modern Pings are about as high. The MOI was pretty good. The C Dim was what really killed it in the rating.

If a center shafted iron was allowed, and it had extreme heel-toe weighting, it would be forgiving even with a C dimension of 0.00. The MPF couldn’t be used, and probably shouldn’t be used for the VAS.

A low hdcp buddy of mine had a set of the VAS. I did hit them and at the time found them very playable,
but ButtUgly.
