fatshot bad9 What are Rapid Tapers are you looking for? Pulls of any interest? I have no problem with pulls, as long as they're in good shape. I would want the 75 gram (RTI75) in A (senior) flex. I'd want 5-PW or 6-PW. If you have what I'm looking for, I'm all ears.....! 😁
customgolfcenter Having built thousands of graphite shafted sets and probably hit hundreds of them myself, I can confidently say that the Xcaliber Rapid Tapers are the best graphite iron shafts I've personally ever used. I don't know what it is about them, but I hit them straighter and farther than anything else. They are effortless to swing, and they have a nice "kick" to them without feeling loose or sloppy even when you put a little extra into the swing. Wish I would've picked up a whole bunch more last fall when they went on clearance for $20!
LogicalOne Based off of my experience, here are my top 2: 1-Fujikura AXIOMS 2-LogicalOne Graphite Iron Shafts (I might be biased here, lol. BUT I’ve had LPGA TOUR players put them in their bags, so they must not be too bad…especially for $22 per shaft!)
bad9 fatshot I'll have 6-GW (soft stepped once) regular flex 75g pulls because I'm going all in on A flex. In addition to the iron shafts I also will be selling three Classic hybrid pulls and a Classic fairway. All regular flex.
LogicalOne Walterjn Haha! Honestly, for the money if I was the consumer, I’d buy the LogicalOne Graphite no doubt. If one can afford the AXIOMS though, I do feel they are pretty special. 👍🏼😊
customgolfcenter Taki27 1) Xcaliber Pro X - 95s (I don’t necessarily notice much difference but since these are in my current irons I am using positive thinking) That XCaliber Pro is actually my 2nd favorite graphite iron shaft behind the Rapid Taper! I have a full bag of XCaliber shafts now - the Pro T6* in my woods, and the Rapid Tapers in my irons.
fatshot bad9 I'll have 6-GW (soft stepped once) regular flex 75g pulls because I'm going all in on A flex. Thanks, but at 78 years old (tomorrow, in fact!), I've been 'All-A-Flex-All-the-Time' for several years now....!!! Good luck with the A flex....I'm sure you'll like them!!
bad9 fatshot I have them in a setoff M890 and find they suit me better than the R. I'm not particularly old at 57 but never had speed and am developing arthritis in various joints including the right shoulder.
LogicalOne fatshot Here you go, sir! 😊 https://logicalonegolf.com/product/logicalone-graphite-iron-shafts/
Typhoon KCee The MMT 125 in the MC head just didn’t do it for me. I sold them after one round for a little profit. Let me know how the Rapid Tapers work out…. Also if you’re dumping the Recoil 110’s at some point. I’m looking at a back up set to have something different in.
backinit It's interesting a see so many topics about graphite shafts in irons....aren't those for geezers?
sdandrea1 backinit It's interesting a see so many topics about graphite shafts in irons....aren't those for geezers? Not any more. You can get heavy and stiff graphite iron shafts.

Eguller sdandrea1 Not any more. You can get heavy and stiff, Xstiff & rebar graphite iron shafts. Slight suggestion 🥴
colej sdandrea1 I can’t do steel due to my elbow and wrist pain. The extra weight helps with my tempo and timing.
KCee I like the Recoil 110. Rapid Taper 105 seems nice too. Hefty enough and stable, but still dampening shock.
colej KCee The rapid taper 105 is a very sound option. The only drawback is how light they get in the wedges. The design of the shaft when trimmed at the short lengths comes in really light in total weight.
