Gatorman Of all the graphite shafts that have been installed, used, or otherwise had your hands on, what was number 1 and 2 ? thank you
toraider So far one and only. SKF TT80s are great if you need a soft tip, low kick and high launching shaft.
fatshot sdandrea1 I have an Alta CB in my Ping G driver, and still have Ping TFC 129's in my Maltby wedges and love them both.....wish I could find the TFC 129's in senior flex for the rest of my irons! That said, I have Apollo Shadows in my Maltby PTM's, and I feel that they are very good shafts as well. The only other thing I would consider changing to would be XCaliber Rapid Tapers, if I could find them at a decent price!
sdandrea1 fatshot both.....wish I could find the TFC 129's in senior flex for the rest of my irons! Buy a set of G10s 😉
KCee Recoil 110 are the only ones I've liked. Just bought a Xcaliber Rapid Taper 105 that sounds promising, but haven't tried it yet.
Typhoon KCee The MMT 125 in the MC head just didn’t do it for me. I sold them after one round for a little profit. Let me know how the Rapid Tapers work out…. Also if you’re dumping the Recoil 110’s at some point. I’m looking at a back up set to have something different in.
pike51 Recoil 660 SC are my current gamers. My backup set have Rapport Core Blue. The Rapport are hard to beat for the $$$.
fatshot sdandrea1 Buy a set of G10s 😉 Thought of that, but Pings hold their value so long that it would be pretty expensive for this "CHEAP bastage!"
Taki27 1) Xcaliber Pro X - 95s (I don’t necessarily notice much difference but since these are in my current irons I am using positive thinking) 2) SK Fiber 95s 3) SK Fiber 100s (best weight but felt a touch dead) 4) Xcaliber Pro X - 85s 5 ) SK Fiber 90s
customgolfcenter Taki27 1) Xcaliber Pro X - 95s (I don’t necessarily notice much difference but since these are in my current irons I am using positive thinking) That XCaliber Pro is actually my 2nd favorite graphite iron shaft behind the Rapid Taper! I have a full bag of XCaliber shafts now - the Pro T6* in my woods, and the Rapid Tapers in my irons.
Jelopster I like my XCalibur Rapid Taper 95 in my utility iron. Not sure how I would like the feel in all the irons. Really like the Paderson Kinetixx Ballistics 110. I have them in a half set of shovels (Ping Rapture 4I, SS FC1+ 6, 8, P) and they feel great. Super stout and nice weight.
fatshot bad9 What are Rapid Tapers are you looking for? Pulls of any interest? I have no problem with pulls, as long as they're in good shape. I would want the 75 gram (RTI75) in A (senior) flex. I'd want 5-PW or 6-PW. If you have what I'm looking for, I'm all ears.....! 😁
customgolfcenter Having built thousands of graphite shafted sets and probably hit hundreds of them myself, I can confidently say that the Xcaliber Rapid Tapers are the best graphite iron shafts I've personally ever used. I don't know what it is about them, but I hit them straighter and farther than anything else. They are effortless to swing, and they have a nice "kick" to them without feeling loose or sloppy even when you put a little extra into the swing. Wish I would've picked up a whole bunch more last fall when they went on clearance for $20!
LogicalOne Based off of my experience, here are my top 2: 1-Fujikura AXIOMS 2-LogicalOne Graphite Iron Shafts (I might be biased here, lol. BUT I’ve had LPGA TOUR players put them in their bags, so they must not be too bad…especially for $22 per shaft!)
bad9 fatshot I'll have 6-GW (soft stepped once) regular flex 75g pulls because I'm going all in on A flex. In addition to the iron shafts I also will be selling three Classic hybrid pulls and a Classic fairway. All regular flex.
LogicalOne Walterjn Haha! Honestly, for the money if I was the consumer, I’d buy the LogicalOne Graphite no doubt. If one can afford the AXIOMS though, I do feel they are pretty special. 👍🏼😊
