Hole 18 yesterday. I hook my drive because I was trying to murder the ball so I could have a chance at birdie on the par 5. Ball ends up stymied 8 inches behind a gnarly tree trunk way left. I almost took an unplayable but at the last second, I decided to try a shot. Pulled out my desrt club, a Ping G10 7 iron and hit a left handed back of the club beautiful sclice that got me back to the fairway and 20 yards closer to the green. I sucked after that and made a double bogey. But that shot was great.

Mattyv Reminds me if a shot I hit years ago . Driveable par 4. Crappy drive trying to drive the green and put it in a grassy uphill bank of a bunker 40 yards short left of the green. I addressed the ball as a lefty, took the wedge and flipped it over so the toe was acting as the sole. Took a good swipe at it amd hit a nice high shot on the green

My most recent round, downhill par 3 sixth hole, I hit a weak push 8-iron that splashes into the lake in front of the green.

Take a one-stroke penalty, but opt to play my third shot from the tee box. Used the same club, but hit this one pure and right at the flag. It landed about 18 feet short of the flag and right on line, hopped and rolled up to about 3 feet. For a minute I thought it was going to go in for the most improbable par ever. But I was happy with a very short putt for bogey.

Tradition to play all three days leading up to Turkey Day.....if I can. Looks like it will be doable, barely🙃

Yesterday I played Washington County Golf Course, which is a fabulous prairie style (cough cough links style) course with nice elevation change sculpted fairways that are like carpet. It was windy and cold which provided for a true test. #12 is one of my favorite holes a leaner left to right with some big bunker complexes guarding the left side, semi blind tee shot, as you can see the fairway to a point until it rolls out, and potentially a semi blind approach if not up far enough up the fairway. Dead into it, 414y, I smashed driver to ~ 185y to the center of green,~ 170 to the front, pin is center/right on a bit of a shelf with the green running to the back just past the pin. This hole plays firm and everything tends to bound forward and run out, so a high approach with some spin is needed or landing short and running it on -although not an easy shot it's what the hole offers to most average golfers given it's length, and it's fairly narrow area to run it on. I hit a beautiful low stinger type 5di, that ran up to the hole and funneled to the back of the green off the slope. Had about ~ 25 feet right back up the hill. I read it breaking left but it stayed straight, 2 putt par.

It was one of those days where into it I was hitting driver ~ 225 ..... Down I hit one 314 and one 300. This course gives you that firm fairway bonus roll out like you see on the TV😆

I'd tell the guy at the counter just playing 9, all the downwind ones.

A decent day here, and I got out for 18 holes earlier - played pretty well for the most part, but had a very nice finish for a level par 68 (on a short winter course, but you still have to hit the shots...)

I hit a solid drive down the last, leaving me 190 to the middle, with a bit of breeze against - initially thought that I could get there with my long hybrid (as you usually get a bit of a kick forward from short of the green), but decided to switch to 3-wood. It was a good decision - hit one out of the middle, starting a little right of the flag with a little soft draw. You can't see the bottom of the flag until you get to within 60 yards or so of the green - knew that I'd hit a good shot, but it was still a nice surprise to see my ball about 12 feet from the hole. I hit a good putt but misread it a little bit - lipped out on the low side to leave a tap-in par.

(This followed birdies on 16 and 17 - eight shots for the three holes would have been nice, but I'm pretty sure that I've never done better than today's nine. You might think that the birdies might be more worthy of 'best shot', but both were decent approach shots to 30ish feet, then make the putt.)

Sometimes the best shot of the round is unremarkable. Today, my best shot was a tee shot that went straight down the middle and rolled out to just over 200 yards. 🤣

2nd hole today at Encanto 18. 300 yard par 4. Found the water about 180 yards on the right. Took my drop and had 120 to the flag. Hit my 50° with a 5 yard draw, one bounce and hit the flagstick! Stopped 2 feet from the hole and I made the par put.

          2nd shot on Hole #3 yesterday…

512 yard par 5…I had 227 left to the front pin location after hitting the new Exotics C722 w/Tensei Orange driver approx. 270 yards total distance…had a perfect lie on the left side of fairway…

Night before I swapped out the adjustable Exotics C722 5 wood w/Ventus Red and went back to the Exotics C721 4 wood w/iDrive Tour 3.5…

Nutted the C721 dead straight and carried probably 220’ish and rolled up to about 4 feet…one putt Eagle 💪…first time I have ever carded a 3 on hole #3 at my club.

Same scenario & pulled same club on the 505 yard par 5 hole #9…224 yards out…on the green in two again but with a longer 16’ish foot eagle putt…pushed the putt right for a miss & tap in birdie.

What did I end up shooting you ask?? Managed to still card a 96 🤯😡🤯…nope that isn’t a typo…

A major case of the Pulls for the better part of the day with multiple clubs was the culprit…playing from the trees & hitting most every one of them on this course makes the game very hard…

…and I didn’t lose a single ball & did not hit out of any bunkers all day either…just trees…many many damn trees 😂🤣

azgreg It's awesome. You should try it sometime.

Someone needs to show me how. I couldn't hit it 270 when I was 30 years old.

candukid I need more work on my swing speed. I was getting an average of 220ish on the range yesterday. I did have a few that made it out to 230 carry, so I'm getting there...

                Supp You da man!! 💪

Don’t take it that far buddy…doesn’t happen like that all that often…😂

                Walterjn out to 230 carry,

That is around my average carry on decent swings…230-240…but this C722 with Tensei Orange sure seems to be a low spin combo…I had to crank it up to ++ on the range…which is supposedly 12.5*…I have never had a driver set that high before…and I am in no way hitting too high or spinny ones at this setting…the trajectory on pure hits is actually a good apex…I bet the good driver swings I had yesterday must have had pretty dang good rollout…which was obvious to me because I don’t hit total distance that far normally…
