Release mgrin Probably won't be until Spring cleaning in a few months. I'll look since wife want me to clear out some stuff.
customgolfcenter That thing is a complete POS. Run, not walk, away from the idea of even considering buying that. JB's shaft puller is great, I've used it in my shop for 10+ years and it has never failed me. Keep an eye out for a used one of these:
Rickochet customgolfcenter JB's shaft puller is great, I've used it in my shop for 10+ years and it has never failed me. Keep an eye out for a used one of these: That looks like mine. Mine has the pre-load spring also which I like. And, no the handle is not too close to the head. That might be an illusion from the pic. I was going to build one and someone who was retiring offered me their JB at a bargain price. I picked up a 6 ton hydraulic jack from Tractor Supply for $12. Take a jack, a $4 shaft clamp and this pic to a welding shop and they can prolly make you one dirt cheap.
customgolfcenter This one looks like would work pretty well, and it's fairly economical at $68 delivered: http://www.golfmechanix.com/src/pdf/210011.pdf
Weirfan Hey LB, My first shaft puller some 12 years ago was an inexpensive screw type , it worked fine but then it scratched a $200 shaft and that was that. You don't have to drop a bundle but get something decent. You should be able to get something in the $50 range
LBlack14 Weirfan Pete, I still have the hydraulic that Steve and Rex built me back when they were building. Well worth it's weight in gold.
mcavoy mgrin Looks like the same design as this Malby one: https://www.golfworks.com/maltby-design-fast-shaft-extractor/p/FASTE/ So I'd imagine its probably pretty good.
sdandrea1 I have the Golfworks Value shaft puller and it has been working fine for many years. Good investment. https://www.golfworks.com/value-shaft-extractor/p/GW1112/
Release I would get that old Maltby puller for $35. you could use any other metal bar that will either fit in or over the handle piece. Caution, best be local for pick so you could exam the piece to make sure it's working mechanically .
glebert Release Mind if I ask what color of cushion did you use to sit on , when using your feet to push the 2x2 ? It's kind of an aquamarine.
