I had been very patient with the deep bore heads, Since my first pull from years ago, I tried to be patient but the hosel paint will discolor no matter what after 3-4 pulls.. Had no issue with the heel, careful not to drop the head and never pound it on the tee box after an errant tee shot.
Maybe in the future I will take the paint off the hosel to expose the bare metal.
Come to think about it, the DCT is another one with deep bore and the shaft insert angle moved away from the heel. Think it is 1
5/8" shallow than the db455.
Talk about thin paint, Those Harrison Mugent Proto has the thinnest pain job on any shaft I had used. It basically melts away.I might have to expose the metallic color underneath the surface paint to make it look better.
