Little Experiment
Par4QC Having that weight in the front makes it feel unbalanced to me and I flip it shut. Also weight forward reduces spin more in a low spin head and keeps the flight down …which doesn’t help matters. The Ping is a higher spinning head but I never had issues because I needed the spin.
It now feels more normal. If I do sky it I might try some lead tape on the sole.
I'm confused. Which driver is John hitting well?
Who’s on First??
Ok comedians….
So I hit the Stealth Plus that I took the 10 gram front track sliding weight out of. Hit it much much better. No snap hooks where I feel the weight of the face shutting it down. I don’t think I hit it as well as the Ping but it was a big improvement over how it was.

Eguller Did you add 10g of lead tape or just fire away with the lighter head ? Trajectory ?
Yeah, just took the weight out and fired away… 10 grams lighter. Didn’t sky any like Rex mentioned I might. Trajectory came up, not as high as it should be but I did have a Tensei White in there which is low/low. I’ll try something else.
It was a marked difference though Dan… like WOW it worked. The head felt better to me… Before I could feel the weight toward the face and it made me flip the club and I get low dive hooks. Plus the weight forward lowers spin.
I still prefer the Ping right now but I’m going to take the TM to the range and see if I can get it looking better. If I do, then I’ll take it out on the course.
I mentioned adding a drip of lead tape, 5 grams to the sole over the “Stealth” name as something I’d like to try as well. It would take 1/2 the weight I removed and add it to a neutral spot which won’t affect balance but might get my launch up a bit.
It’s funny because nobody ever thinks to do it. If anything people go “Animal Style” which is adding 2 weights to the front track.
I need to see if I can grab the rear weight kit and wrench if we have one in any of the sets. Then I could maybe give myself more weight in the back.
