Typhoon av raw was the same as the av it just showed the weave with the "raw" section/clear coat. The newest AV version is the AV-XLink.....I've not heard of the AV2, but maybe that was a typošŸ¤”

ode Ok, I went and looked at the one Iā€™m keeping and itā€™s the xlinkā€¦. So itā€™s the newest. The upper part is darker, not white. For some reason the plastic cap label TM uses says AV2ā€¦. Maybe itā€™s their way of differentiation between this one and the older one with the white upper part.

So, the xlink is the one I like better.

I've been kicking around to try this shaft for a long time. Now you talked me into it so I have one on the way. šŸ˜€

backinit More active. black is like a board.. while being tip stiff it has just the right amount of softness in the handle. I donā€™t have to kill it to get it to workā€¦ and if I do lean on it, the tip keeps it in place. Iā€™m a fan of these shafts that are softer In the butt amd gradually get stiffer towards the tip.

I have Ventus Red Velocore that is butt stiff, soft mid and firm, not stiff in the tip. The highest launching of the Ventus Velocore line and it just feels dead to me because of the butt.

Typhoon Good to know. We are heading to Trader Joe in Portsmouth so I'll eventually walk into DSG and see if there is anything on the shelf that has it.

Typhoon I actually purchased a TM (tip) Rogue Silver 70 S shaft at Dick's for cheap. It's 3 wood length, but I'm going to put a driver head on it for grins...possible PXG 5 wood shaft.

Bought a srixon ZX7 driver with a Tensei white shaft. So far I like the feel of head and the looks of it but the shaft, Iā€™m not sold on it. IMO it feels a bit loose, could it be that itā€™s a case of a OEM having a shaft manufacturer make a watered down version of the original? Not sure.

            colej Are you sure itā€™s a ā€œmade forā€ shaft?
