  • New Kirland (Costco) ball on the way

I just picked up a box at Costco. $27.99 for 2 doz of the new ones. Won't get to try them for a couple of weeks though.

I loved the 4-piece ball as well. The 3-piece was just so short off the tee for me I didn't want to play it at any price. Hopefully this version is a bit better. I have been playing the Oncore Elixr this year and that's a bit short hitting as well, but not to the same degree. If the Kirkland could match that I'd play it.

    Yep......

The golf ball are back up on the website, but they are listed at $34.99 for white only.

      Better jump on them quick😂

backinit That's the online price. Stere prices are cheaper for most products.

I might actually be more excited about the fact that there's a yellow ball than a potential design change. My only issue with the current ball is cutting the cover with wedges.

      (Distance not an issue... Lol)

I don't think I ever actually tried the V1 ball, but I didn't mind the V2 ball except from a durability issue. Any half decent iron strike would peel big curls off of the cover. I'm actually going to Costco in the morning, if they have this new one in stock I'll have to try a box and see.

JShack01 I liked the V1s performance (4pcs) and I was fine with the 3 pc balls performance. I did notice after hitting out of a bunker that it had a nasty bruise on it, but I did expect something given the cover material. I think we are headed to a Costco so I'm interested in what is in stock if anything.

Guess I don’t have enough juice to shred the cover on the v2. I play the same ball for 33 holes last year before finally losing it and it still looked fine. Strange that halfway through last season I finally decided to settle on one ball for the sake of introducing some consistency to my short game, and now they’ve changed it. 🤪

I'd still be playing the Srixon Hi Spin or the Precept EV Spin if they still made them.
          :/

johnnydoom I suspect you will be able to find those on the used sites for cheap. It's the most found ball on my home course!

Spuzz the Precept EV Spin if they still made them.

That ball probably had the most spin of any modern ball ever made. 🤔

Eguller the most spin of any modern ball ever made.

The Greg Norman endorsed Spalding Tour Edition was it's equal, imo.

Me too. I played the Nike Spin Control for many years - it was the EV Spin rebranded for Nike.

Sorry. I meant the Tour Edition- spin monster.

I’m sure you’re right, but I’ll probably just move on to the v3 unless I find something to be highly unpleasant in the change.

I came home with a double dozen Kirkland latest version. Visually comparing the latest to the V2 3pc the dimple pattern is slightly different new ball has double arrows on each side on the alignment mark/logo. Price at the store was $27.99 in white only. If costco offered these in green I would have dropped a bundle on them. Nothing in yellow.

ode I agree, those V2 3pc balls were super-spinny, super high launching, and very short (at least for me).

I still have a few cases of the OG 4pc balls left, it's literally all I've played since the day they came out! Really glad I loaded up as soon as I heard the rumors they were being discontinued.
