You're describing how one acts under authoritarianism. Going by the PPP poll my guess is there's a lot of Trump voters who couldn't tell you the difference between authoritarianism and democracy. The people speaking up know the difference and the one's that don't are telling the one's that do to shut up. Kinda says it all.

Daddy says he and he alone can fix everything. No details, no policy, just "believe me." The fact that he's about an inch deep on knowledge on most things isn't important. Take a look at history and see what happens when people give up their right to speak up and follow along blindly.

And people wonder why he admires Putin so much.

You do know that Trump knew that Flynn lied to Pence and allowed him to go out and lie on TV, don't you? That would mean if the phone call proving Flynn talked about the sanctions to the Russian ambassador was never leaked, Trump would've kept Pence in the dark and allowed the lie to live on. I don't know how Pence can trust Trump. Just the latest example of Trump lying.

Trump believes if he says it it's true. He's been able to get away with it in the past, but that's coming to an end as we're seeing now. Just curious, but as a Trump voter how would you have answered the PPP poll questions?

Putin's not a good guy. And what the Russians did in interfering in our election cuts to the heart of our democracy. It was the Democrats this time, but it could be the Republicans next time. And whether Trumps people were complicit or just duped it was an attack on our democracy. This is a huge deal. As big as it gets. Think about it for a second.

And yes presidents lie, but not to the extent that Trump has. He's taken it to a whole new art form. He's really out there.

False equivalency is always the answer. This is something we've never seen before. It is an undisputed fact that Russia was behind the hacking. Imagine if this were Hillary the Republicans would be going nuts over this.

Oh, did you see Trump today condemning the leak about Flynn. Seemed to have a change of heart. Wasn't that long ago that he was praising Wikileaks for the Democratic hacked emails being released. Said he "loved Wikileaks."

Again, we're in for one hell of a show for the next 4 years. If it lasts that long.

Maybe people weren't listening hard enough when Mr. Trump said to Chris Matthews that women who had an abortion needed to be punished. I'm afraid listening more to Trump isn't going to help. He lives in his own universe where facts are what he says they are.

On the bright side I sent my Ping G irons back to Ping to have the swing weight adjusted and have the lofts jacked up a tad. Life goes on even if the executive branch of our government is a dysfunctioning mess.
