Our week in Cabo was very reasonable money-wise. Airfare cost a grand, round-trip. The resort was a timeshare deal from a guy at my club... he owns three weeks there, beautiful luxury resort, Villa del Arco. Right on the beach of the Sea of Cortez. Last spring I purchased a week from him for a grand (usually runs $350/night) and used it as his guest. Then we did the all-inclusive for both food and drink, which ran $1350. Then throw in another $500-$700 for miscellaneous expenses, sightseeing, activities, etc. So all-inclusive, taxi rides into town, the occasional souvenir, etc.. we did it on roughly $4k.
There've been weeks spent in Myrtle Beach with the kids back in the day when we couldn't get out of there for under $2500... throw in my golf - we're talking $3000 easily.
This place at the resort there, they have this bar that opens at 10:00 a.m. each morning, right next to the ocean. I spent a lot of mornings, afternoons and evenings there just taking it all in, enjoying the splendor of such a beautiful place. The bartenders, each of them, knew what I was drinking. They'd suggest something different on occasion, I'd try it... we shared some Tequila shots together our last day, just me and the bartenders. They were so cool... of course, I tipped them pretty good too. Who says you can't buy friends! LOL... "Hey ese, gringo with mucho dinero alerto! Titos and Tonic, splash of cranberry coming up, bro!"
For seven blessed days, no politics... no hate... just mucho dias buenos with a beautiful woman. 😉
We did a Sunset Cruise, with Fajitas, and all the alcohol you could possibly drink in 2 hours. I took this video below.
