I'm here. But to be honest, without being there, I'm not sure I can help.
Stupid question, did you check the bulb during all this?
First off. You have 2 switches, one for each light ? Or 1 3 way for a closet light (seems odd)?
The reason you're not seeing voltage between the wires is they're all switched legs (if done right). You'll need to test each one separately to ground or neutral to locate the hot leg. You really need to know before you can proceed in troubleshooting.
That being said, you should be able to tie all 3 wires from the switch together (with a wire nut) and see if the light works. If it does, you either have a bad switch or another wiring issue.
Best bet is to call a qualified pro to locate the problem.
