Tinker Almost all of them use 6-4, or sometimes 15-3-3-3 Beta Ti. A few of the higher-end (or smaller volume) manufacturers like Titleist, Srixon, Tour Edge, use SP700 in some of their heads, but I don't know of anyone who uses it in all their heads (except for maybe some ultra-premium JDM brands who sell their drivers for $1K+, LOL). But I don't think any of the really big boys like TM, Callaway, Ping, etc use it any of their drivers. If you look at it from a business perspective: if they put an SP700 face on every driver, and it costs them an extra $20/ea (I remember seeing that estimate somewhere), if they sell 1 million drivers that's $20 million down the drain. If they can save that money and 99% of consumers won't even know or care, then of course they're going to do that.
On the other hand, component companies - who usually deal with more educated golfers or clubmakers - often use SP700 and advertise it as a feature of the head and charge extra for it, and many will gladly pay the price. Back in the day several component brands like Bang, Integra, KZG, Alpha, etc used to make quite a few models with SP700 faces, but you just don't see it as much anymore. Which is unfortunate.
