I grabbed a 7 iron from each set today at Golfers Warehouse. Didn't warm up, just hit 4 balls alternating clubs. I200 had the AWT shaft, I e-1 had the cfs.

We were all laughing at how stupidly close all the numbers were.
Starting at the top, and going down...hits 1 and 3 are the I200 ( one was 115 ball speed). Hits 2 and 4 are with the I e-1.

The i200 is the replacement for the ie1 correct?....like the looks of both....seems like there would be no reason to switch unless you couldn't resist hoing (thought I remember you having the ie1's and ping refinishing for you, but could be wrong on that).

ode seems like there would be no reason to switch unless you couldn't resist hoing

.....but the main reason for hoing is when there is no reason to switch.......

Right Ode! Good mind! My finish is better than stock was, more like the I200. I just love the finish on the I200 still better...and the cavity looks better.

The guy at the store said he's ordered 2 sets for people. One guy , like me had the ie1 but liked this finish better.

I'll put mine on Craigslist for $750 and throw in my set of Karsten 1 irons as a bonus. If I can sell them, I have $500 in gift cards at a pro shop in New Hampshire that I just kept accumulating but forgot about....and they are a Ping retailer. I could use the cards and pocket some cash. I'd get the same specs I have on mine now in the I200.

Like I was saying...amazing how similiar. The ie1 went barely further due to less spin and that was the cfs shaft vs the awt shaft in the I200. Forgiveness the same, speeds the same, angle of Decent, height....all the same. Distance offline, tight little draw on all shots. Amazing.

Was in touch with a guy on another forum about stripping mine. While I was on there I saw a guy who took a fine grit 3m sanding sponge from home depot and the faces now look like the I200 irons...hmmmm.😨

Stopping at hardware store for Citristrip today maybe.

Well I bought Citristrip...did nothing. Acetone...almost nothing. Its the color in the anodized Aluminum I think. I scraped it off and used acetone on a couple of them so far. One of them I taped it off after I scratched the color off and took a fine grit sandpaper and got the scratches out. I'll try to post a pic tomorrow.

Gonna take a little longer than I thought. Does look nice though.

Yeah, like I really dig my Wishon 755pc and won't be playing golf for a bit, but you 2 clowns, pratically, have me talked into a set of the Prophet CB heads. Just waiting to ge my liquid courage up to pull the trigger.

They're good sticks LB. A really nice design. Even if the faces were not hot, they'd play well. Just the right amount of sole and topline width.

          LBlack14

You'll never lose money on them around here if you find a used set. The depreciation, someone else already took the hit. I've always heard they were nice heads...those and the Alpha MB's.
