Cutter66 I was big on the IPAs for years before they became super popular, Iāve was on that train for 20 years, started with west coast style and found the NEIPAs years later. Loved them all, found my sweet spot to be between 6.9% and 7.6%, less almost never had the full flavor and more got too smooth for my liking. The doubles were tasty, but I like that bitter bite on the back end and they rarely have it.
The Captain Lawrence āimperialā IPA was one of the first I found on the east coast that I really loved and it was the first time I had ever spent over $100 for a case of beer š. I was dragged on a wine tasting for a birthday party, we wound up in the same warehouse plaza of Captain Lawrence (their original brewery location), and wandered in, having never heard of them, I was blown away and my bank account has never recovered since.
