DC300 I was big on the IPAs
Was in Los Angeles on business around 28 years ago and wandered into a downtown bar with outside tables in a courtyard. I asked for a black and tan and he made it with Sierra Nevada Pale Ale and Murphy’s Irish Stout. Nothing terribly unique about either, but they combined into one of the best things I’ve ever enjoyed. Sitting in that courtyard having a couple of black and tans, the heavy scent of gardenias growing in large planters, and sunny Sept. evening weather in L.A. is one of the most pleasant memories I have of any business trip.
