pike51 Everyone thinks they want to be a goalie until the try it.
I have good friend and golf buddy that says the same. He's only a couple of years younger than me and has been playing goalie since he was a little kid. He still plays on a couple of teams one one of which has guys less than half his age, but none that will stay at goalie lol. He says he's giving it up next year as he doesn't feel he has the reflexes any more. He says this year he finally felt he couldn't make the saves he once could.
I wonder if it will impact his golf game. He has one of the ugliest swings you will ever see. I should post a video here as no one would believe how hideous it really is. That said he hits the ball solid a LOT. With a swing that bad (way too many moving parts) I think he must have astounding hand/eye coordination. Will that change once he's done with hockey?
