I played in a goodwill tourny in Lakeland back in 1990 and in 1991 made up of guys from our men's league, most of which were friends of the councillor who organized it. Mostly C and B players.
(Lakeland was "twinned" with Richmond Hill, Ont)
We played a team from Jacksonville. One of the players had a football style helmet and a lot of the guys had very little hockey experience. They did have partying experience though 😉
Lost in the final to a touring tourny team that had ex juniors on it. :/
