Kirkland Irons

A lot of hot air about something no one here is going to buy.
Doubt Costco gives a flying f*ck nobody on this forum buys their golf products
I don't know! There's 53 posts and counting in the 2023 roll call thread - it all adds up
Most everything I mentioned is mentioned here as well.
Bravopilot Oh Damn.... That could be tempting... $600 or more and I would be out. That price is only $100 over budget.
Wait a minute... I could set up a GOFUNDME deal. If every Buzzard sent me a dollar, I would only need to come up with an additional $579.99
A lot of chatter over a set of clubs most people on here “poo-poo”….and would never play. Players distance irons with, as you guys say, “jacked lofts” and thin soles.
For the price of a new set of them, you can get a set of 2019 p790’s with most likely a better shaft, tighter tolerances, proven performance and some kind of customer support.
Ya know what goo and hollow body is about? It's about hiding shitty metallurgy and making irons "feel" about the forged"feel". It's totally about "feel".
That goes for P790's and whatever TS irons Golfworks. It "feels: good so it must be Mizuno good. NOT!
Sound of ball off face compression is "feel"!

I don't think I've seen any large retailer that even comes close to Costco for Customer Service. They are definitely leaders in this regard .
Lets not forget that selling clubs is not something new for Costco, they have been doing it for years. A quick look shows they have several Callaway sets, Honma and Cleveland Clubs, Nancy Lopez and even Bettinardi putters....in addition to their Ksig wedges and putters .
I'm expecting the irons to be successful just as their wedges and putters which they reportedly knocked it out of the park with. And.....if they aren't, well Costco has a value of over 200 billion, about 65x that of Taylor Made or any of the other golf club companies, they will just move onto the next thing and it won't mean a thing.
As for the hollow body Design, I think there are probably many reasons they chose this route, with the main one being it's a design ( if similar to the other same clubs out there ) that offers up big distance, good forgiveness and a clean look. This will appeal to a wide segment IMO. A pure blade or a pure shovel would not. They also have several cavity back sets being sold already so these will not overlap with those models.
