Would be great to witness a purely blind test of shafts and heads with say high single digit up to 20 cappers. I suspect, the oems would not like the results. Jmo.

propman I’d like to see less bags with “players distance irons” in them and more with SGIs in them. I’m over playing with/behind people with $2k in their hollow body “blades” that shoot 103. It would be great if people would actually play what suits their game, not their ego.

DC300 It would be great if people would actually play what suits their game, not their ego.

The marketing/advertising targets the egotistical spending and the quest for distance. Suckers......

sdandrea1 I get that, just did a golf trip w a bunch of guys who all had games that didn’t come close to their equipment levels. I think of the 20 guys there were maybe 3 that were close to what they should be playing. Example, younger guy in my group one day had players distance irons, can’t recall which Titleist version they were and he carried a 30+ cap. He got 2 strokes on damn near every hole, never played with somebody who stood a chance a net zero on a par 3 before… until him. It got me thinking about it all, and how out of touch most are with reality.

Side note, I’m over here thinking the X-Hot Pros I play might be too much for my game with my lack of practice.. these MFers are out there with near blades 😂

sdandrea1 The WRX forum is loaded with those guys. Keeps the OEMs in business.

...and 8* heads and TX shafts for sale constantly. 🙄

DC300 So how much difference do you think it would make if this person played SGI irons?

Subsonic if I had to guess, he’d be a solid 6-8 shots better, maybe more. Where the irons he has dig, he would get shots that would’ve been very playable with SGIs. He wasn’t “that far” away from good shots. He doesn’t have a 30 handicap swing, should be a high teens type. He’s admittedly still learning to play the game (aren’t we all?), so his short game is a liability, but he could save considerable amounts of shots it he would play the shovels and hybrids his game needs. Had he spent his money on some Ping G series instead of Titleist T series, he’d be much further ahead.

                pellmell That's great...super!!

That means they took weight and placed it where it's really needed, with only 1 screw.

                🤣😆😄

                Par4QC

I tested the wedges and was pleased. The putter, not so pleased.....it was too light and I'm used to half and full mallets. The irons have not appeared yet.

Eguller Sounds good to me. Just hope they got a really nice shaft in them so I can resell it. 😄Otherwise I'll wait the 30 days and grab a used head for $12 shipped.

pellmell in a non-insane world $200 sounds like the right place for them to claim a “premium” design at a reasonable price to get some market share. In a time when the OEMs aren’t scared to slap $700 on an off the shelf driver, I won’t be surprised if they try for $299.

Once they get out in the market for a couple months they will have zero resale value and the early adopters will be the losers. They will be sold out by then so it won’t matter to Costco.

From the one picture they look alright to me. Hard to tell size though. Are they similar to the Taylormade or are they bulky like ping g700? I’d be interested if they are soft feeling and provided good launch and spin.
