So I got the go ahead to look at new irons this year. One of our courses had a sale one the Launcher XL’s for $850 and the Srixon Z5 & Z7’s for $995. I thought they were a really good deal, but I feel they are a little out of my price range. I’ve been looking at the Cleveland UHX at around $500 as a starting point. I’ve been told to not “Mickey Mouse” it and get what I want, but I can’t justify paying huge dollars for clubs. Any ideas for a guy that plays off a 10-14 handicap, plays 1-2 times a week, hits a 7 iron about 150–160 and driver about 240-250? I’m not bound to any particular brand, just looking for good clubs at a price that won’t break the bank.
