Hope everyone is ready for the heat!! We got a late start on summer this year, the first 100° day was later than I can ever remember, but then July had the hottest avg temps on record by a whopping 4°! And it's not slowing down the first part of August...

I’m planning on playing the fun rounds on Thursday, Friday, Saturday

For any locals or folks arriving earlier on Sept 2.

I booked a 1:27 tee time at Papago ( 8 mins from the airport) with Vinman and Customgolf.
There is room for 1 more to round out the 4-some.
posted rate is $65, could be cheaper if you have a Phoenix players card.

I booked for 3 but sure you can call and be added to our group

        That would make the perfect addition to this year's get-together. In honor of Kenner, an fgi/buzzer who passed this past year it would be so fitting.
        Kev (tapin) grabbed an extremely hot plate a lot of years ago at DS. Seeking. Relief, he stuck his scorched hand in Kenner's pitcher of Iced tea.

          When are or how are the teams put together for the $$Round and the DS Championship??
          I assure you, I am not the ideal partner. I took 18 months off, did not touch a club. Now I have played 12 rounds since June.
          Always an adventure with an iron shot!! Just asking..

            We pick partners for the $$$ round and Rick does a draw for the DS Championship teams except the defending champs who play together again. That would be John and I. 😶

            Speaking of the Money Round, Jimengaz and I will be a team.

              Sounds like a plan. Reminisce about the night 27 cars got broke into at the hotel...Including mine. Maybe we can make a putt or two.

                OPPORTUNITY:

                We have worst luck with numbers. Right now for Friday and Saturday morning - we have 21 golfers.
                We will need more or will have to make a sacrifice to the gods. If some locals can please socialize I'd appreciate it.

                  hobbit You should be able to put a 5 some in the 2nd or 3rd group We’ve done it before in AZ and Vegas. That person may not have a partner but can at least play

                    I found two more for Friday so we should be ok that day. May do a 5 on Saturday if it comes to that.
