So I got a chance to watch Halloween Ends. No spoiler review....meh
Spoiler reviews:
The Shape doesn't show up for 50 minutes into the movie, so there's that. Lots of inconsistencies.
Corey , who's a young adult gets bullied by some half pint high schoolers who aren' even old enough to buy booze, two of whom are chicks, just didn't ring true.
Michael's been living in the sewers for awhile after the last film killing a few homeless here and there. He's around 65 now so he's supposedly weak and injured and Corey actually kicks his ass and steals his mask, yet a few minutes later he's (MM) lifting a woman off the ground with one arm and holding her there? Then he gets his ass kicked by Laurie? Whatever.
The love affair between Corey and the chick happens way to fast to be believable.
I was half watching and half on my phone, it just wasn't good enough to hold my attention.
Seemed like they were setting Corey up to be the new Michael, then they kill him off, WTF?
The thing with Michael is they can't make up their mind if he's just a guy or an indestructible monster. The dude's been shot close range, burned, and didn't Laurie even decapitate him one time when he was pinned by a car? Then in this movie he's just an old guy killer. Which is it? I found it better when he was more of an evil normal guy. Not much suspense when you know you can't kill him.
Anyway, a let down of a movie for MM's curtain call.
