SMT Well that is pretty impressive.

There was also an all night, lighted Par 3 course across the field to the North, which was impressive as well. Some double fun nights were had there before and/or after the movies.

Recorded that one as well. Not sure when I'll get to watch it, but it won't be long into the future.

This post was concerning Final Destination 2, which I've just now watched 48 weeks later. I guess that wasn't too long into the future 😆.

Yet again a very immersive experience. It's amazing how well that hook has worked through two movies with very little character development, but it worked extremely well. Both one and two went by almost in fast forward.

Don't watch much tv these days and movies are generally too long for me to stay up as I try to go to bed 10-1030 considering I'm up daily at 430-530 to work or play golf.

I don't mind a good horror flick , Exorcist still has to be one of my favs along with Children Shouldn't Play with Dead things and The Devil's Rejects.

Watched a few movies on the plane to and from Phoenix , one was The Pope's Exorcist, wasn't bad..typical possession flick.

the Shining was on AMC the other day, watched a few minutes, it's still creepy

Family “Halloween” Movie tonight: Monster High (On Paramount +). Typical teenybopper musical movie that my 10, 9, and 6 y/os ate up. Not the worst I’ve see, but far from the best. I give it 🎃 🎃 (out of a possible 5)

I watched Curse of the Undead. A western Vampire movie, lol. This gunslinger is a vampire who's actually slow on the draw but it doesn't matter of course as bullets don't hurt him. His opponents all die with a quizzical look on their faces as they knew they outdrew him. Of course, other vampire things happen, too. Not really horrible for it's time.

Get this plot. A mad scientist develops an aftershave that attracts and enrages these gigantic bats he has mutated and he uses them to kill his enemies! Now that's a plot!

We went back in for Monster High 2 tonight. It was as inoffensive and forgettable as the first. 🎃 🎃

I recently watched Brightburn. Great concept (basically, what if Superman was evil), but not great execution. 6/10

“Dug Up” (Tubi) as recommended by a friend. Cheesy zombie movie with a little T&A and a small twist at the end.

He also wants mw to find and watch “Devils Little Helper” or something like that. Chance are it will also be cheesy.

There was a series a while back on Netflix, I think... it's a short series, like one season.

It's called Midnight Mass. Kinda interesting, kinda creepy. Fairly entertaining.

Werewolf of London 1935 continuing my quest to rewatch all the Universal horror films. It's amazing what scared me as a kid, and adult audiences in the 30's and 40's. And they all seem to have abrupt endings. It's like the director just decides "All right kill him off and let's get out of here"

Not exactly horror but check out the Alice in Borderland series on Netflix. It's based off the graphic novel and they've recently greenlit a 3rd season.

Continuing the Kid’s Halloween movies: Hocus Pocus. It’s a Halloween standard around here 3.75 🎃 out of 5. The scariest thing about this flick is the fact that ole horse face Sarah Jessica Parker was the “hot” one!

The original Frankenstein 1931. Great classic movie. Karloff is fantastic.

Disney's Haunted Mansion is pretty good. Not a true horror movie, I know...

Walterjn Went to see that with the family a month or two ago and enjoyed it. My wife was actually startled by a few of the jump scares while the rest of us just thought it was a fun ride (pun intended). Really enjoyed the mix of old and young actors.

Saw (2004)

First watch. Never saw it, or any other in the franchise. Very effective even though I've learned bits and pieces of the premise through the years since its release. It was well done for what was obviously a very low-budget movie and although it is an old movie by now, I did not know how it ended. I've heard most of the additional versions are more in the torture-porn spirit and so won't be watching them, but this original is absorbing and tense. Based upon this movie and The Conjuring, I'll say that James Wan knows how to make scary movies. On Amazon Prime.
