garyt1957 Is 10 grams even enough to matter?
It does seem like such a small amount, but it does seem to make a difference at least for me. I have been swapping shafts in my Max LS and even though the shafts ranged from 50 to 70 g I thought I had them all close in weight using backweight and some lead tape. They felt like they swung the same, but I was more consistent with the 70 shaft and it turns out that combo did weigh nearly 15g more than the others. I may try to add some weight to the other setups to at least get the MOI closer and see if it makes a difference.
I always found I did better with about a 15g backweight in my 5 or 6 iron as well. I tend to release early without it. Who knows why. I am a headcase when it comes to golf lol.
