has anyone played any of these 3:

Shephard's Hollow
Pine trace
Cherry Creek

Thanks,
Chuck

Have played Shephard's and Pine Trace. @Bankshot, @potbunker, Gary (Elvis from FGI) and I played Pine Trace last summer. Have never played Cherry Creek.

Shephard's has the reputation of being one of the nicest, if not THE best, course in Metro-Detroit. Pine Trace is not too shabby itself. I'd recommend playing both if you can, but Shephard's is definitely better.

Agree with Hoss. I play Cherry Creek regularly. Nice track and reasonable senior rates, but play can be slow at times.

I am in charge of a group of seniors during the summer. We make a trip each year and that is where I am looking at to play. Limited to a 4 hour drive from Cleveland. If anybody has any other ideas it would be appreciated.

The courses at Oakland University are really nice too.

Agree with everything everyone else has said. I'd rate them
    Shepherd's
    Cherry Creek
    Pine Trace

If it's a one time trip to the metro Detroit area, I'd consider the Orchards, and Coyote Preserve, an Arnold Palmer course in Fenton.

LOL! How 'bout you give that a whirl and let us know how it goes. 🙂

I honestly thought it was public. But, now I realize that I have never made a reservation to play there myself. I have just met up with buddies an paid.... "The More You Know..."

Hoss7504 Yeah, I've played a couple of scrambles there on both courses. Both are excellent+. Too bad they're not public.
