Birdsboro i seldom if ever look at gas prices

I did today. Damn. Up to $3.79 and rising weekly!!

It's been around $3.09 here for a while now but yesterday (after I filled up here at home) I drove to Marshall, MN
where it's always higher priced than here and the price there was $2.61.... sucks! 🤮

Typhoon Prices around town went up more today..🤬. Not a good thing with an election looming.

Right? Because all of the geniuses in the world lay the price of gas at the POTUS' feet. Brilliant! Thank corporate America for price gauging. Always hilarious to listen to people grouse about this when big travel holidays-times of the year, like the 4th of July are close and magically the price goes up!

    Yeah, keeps climbing. $3.07-$3.25

Went from $3.45 to $3.95 here in about a week

Yup… that’s what happened when we had $1.85 gas. POTUS was a God, and that’s what is remembered.

Drill baby drill….. Oh wait, we’re already are doing that. 🙄 Just remember the Stone Age hardliners went kicking and screaming into the Bronze Age.

Sneakylong Drill baby drill….. Oh wait, we’re already are doing that.

Yes, they do daily, but what people don't realize, the U.S. Gvt. does not own a drilling company. Yet they have 'reserves'.

My uncle used to tell us about how his company (unnamed here) would get gvt. funding for drilling/exploration. When fields were hit, they were required to report back to their 'funding' mgr.😉, and if the field was a damn good one, they were told....'cap it'...dry well!!

And no, this is not political, it's just business as usual for oil companies and the Federal Gvt..

Since I’m on the road a lot I’ve got my places that I know are low… $3.05 and since it’s more or less on the way home I can make it work. It gets trickier when I have to gas the Durango. Super prices are all over the map and you don’t know the price until you pull in. A low price on regular might mean they make it up with a high super price.

Typhoon I've noticed the prices on Super since I bought my Maverick 2.0 turbo and my wife's
Cadillac XT4 turbo. They are both supposed to use higher octane gasoline but they seem to run fine using
          standard 87 octane fuel.

mulegolf They will run fine, but your gas mileage will not be as good. The 2007 Lexus I drive says 93 octane recommended too…I just don’t. The Durango is different… it’s the SRT and that engine needs it just to run better. Plus, we don’t use it much, wife takes it once a week to work the next town over and errands around town here and there.

We fill the tank probably every 3 weeks on that.

My gas mileage was great coming back to Minnesota from Texas earlier this month. We filled up at Ft. Worth and
I kept track all the way home. We averaged 31.8 mpg. That's the best we've done with the Maverick. I guess the hybrid Maverick's are supposed to be about there but not the 2.0 Turbo's like mine. I can usually get 29 to 30 on the highway
and 24-25 in a combination of town and highway driving.

              6 months later

What are you guys paying now? I bought gas yesterday at Costco in Sioux Falls, SD for $2.69 per gallon. That's
the cheapest gas I've seen around here for a long time. It's been rare to see prices dip below $3.00 a gallon.

mulegolf Been at $3.59 all summer, around the corner. I cross over to IA and get it for about $3, sometimes less if my discount is up(Hy-Vee/Shell).

$3.22 at Meijer. Using MPerks rewards, $2.22 at the pump.

$2.79 cash/debit Woodman's Market Madison, WI this afternoon.
