Rickochet We have a pot of bean soup cooking in the crockpot. We do an easy version using a big jar of cooked Randall's great northern beans and add a can of Luck's pintos with onions. Add some crushed red peppers and and diced jalapenos. We had spiral cut country ham for Christmas din and I finished cutting the remaining ham off the bone and put the bone with some other ham scraps in the soup. This is going to be a killer batch. Serve it up with hot corn bread. Yum. I may give my wife a break and take some Beano before dinner. She doesn't enjoy "Dutch oven" as much as when we were young. π
Typhoon Rickochet She doesn't enjoy "Dutch oven" as much as when we were young. π So there was actually a time she enjoyed it? I guess that would be true, there was a brief time my wife enjoyed sex.
mulegolf Sarnella Bean soup is one of our favorites here. We use a 15 bean variety of beans and make it with onions potatoes and sometimes carrots and cook it in a pressure cooker (quite often our rice cooker). I'd like Rickochet's bean soup but not the corn bread. I'd much rather have fresh baked rolls with honey butter.
Rickochet Typhoon So there was actually a time she enjoyed it? There was a time when she was more tolerant. π
Rickochet Typhoon there was a brief time my wife enjoyed sex. There is a food product that reduces a woman's desire for sex. It is wedding cake. π€£
Weirfan Typhoon Well, as the old saying about sex goes, there is full service no service And self service

Par4QC Just made a burger the actual size of the skillet, I shit you not!! π Made the biggest damn cheeseburger quesadilla anyone ever laid eyes on. The burger fit the soft taco shell perfectly after cooking!
sdandrea1 Rickochet It's a nice ribeye cut. Use the right dry rub recipe and cook it to 132 F and WOW!
Rickochet sdandrea1 It's a nice ribeye cut. Use the right dry rub recipe and cook it to 132 F and WOW! I have seen that referred to as a Tomahawk stead. Looks good. π
