Eguller Sneakylong the body focused swing systems are all the rage now. If you are 20 something, flexible and strong, body focus may be for you - as most tour swings. Check the various Tour Champions swings. No cookie cutters there. 🏌
scotts33 As to body focused and restrictive golf swings. At 73 playing MDLT my whole life from teens to now and bowling fall/winter. I have not had any lower torso issues replacement of knees or hips. Part of that is my golf swing with low stress and no restriction with lower body to build club head speed.
sdandrea1 scotts33 I love the concept. I've lost a lot of flexibility but mostly want a body - friendly swing so I can play 3 - 4 times/week without needing an ambulance. I've dabbled in Sparks with some success, and find that leisurely motion very easy on the body.......still struggle with good strikes tho.
Subsonic sdandrea1 Jump in papaD... the waters nice... I definitely am getting good strikes with MDLT method. To me the Sparks Method seemed a little too passive.
sdandrea1 Subsonic All I've seen is videos of the concept. No instructions. I put the book in my Amazon cart.
scotts33 Subsonic Jump in papaD... the waters nice... You guys play some what frequently during summer? If so always good to have another golfer that is working on the same thing as someone you can bounce ideas off of and also take video to compare. I have always thought that was a good idea.
scotts33 Trish Beucher is based on and focus on the concepts of Ernest Jones and Manuel De la Torre. She is south of Jacksonville. And John Hayes is in Clearwater area. He's a Manuel devotee.
SMT scotts33 Well Trish has one of those... "kinda' hard to listen to" voices. We also have differing definitions of Blustery. Partly sunny, shorts and a polo shirt is summer over here.
sdandrea1 Subsonic We tee it up a couple times a year. papaD is too busy... Someone is still working full time.........and it's not PapaD.
Subsonic sdandrea1 1) When have you offered Subsonicsan the opportunity to tee it up and he declined? One time that he can think of and it was like the day before he received notice. 2) Your schedule is more packed than mine.
wishbone Subsonic Interesting. As a junior golfer many years ago, this was what I was taught. And pretty much hit the ball of the middle of my stance.
Sneakylong For me this is the essence of the Manuel de la Torre swing concept. The late PGA Tour player Bob Brue (de la Torre disciple) used a tennis ball on a rope as well. Find your rhythm.
rsvman2 Sneakylong Dan Martin. The guy who sells the gadget he calls 'the Pro.' He's the guy you want to watch for this concept. He explains it better than anybody.
Subsonic There is nothing new under the sun. Not watched a ton of Sparks stuff. It seems as if it is an easy swing too. Does he talk more about the lower body?
sdandrea1 Subsonic Does he talk more about the lower body? He visually promotes exactly what that MDLT chick promotes in the rope video. Le dance du golf.
scotts33 Trish was giving away rope and tennis ball earlier this year. What stands out to me is Ernest Jones and Manuel De La Torre existed long before the internet and YouTube videos. They have a marvelous track record and longevity.
