sdandrea1 I think Swinging the Clubhead by Ernest Jones and Understanding the golf Swing by MDLT go hand in hand. I only have four books in my golf library: Tom Watson Getting up and Down, John Jacobs Practical golf and these two.
When I went to the range yesterday, I finished up with 5 balls with my 6 iron at the 165 flag. Four were on the green next to the flag and 1 just dribbled on the green. That is outstanding for me.
Here were my swing thoughts: Throw the clubhead over the right Shoulder, Pull down and through impact with my upper arms and take the clubhead to the target. Let the lower body do what ever it has to do to support those movements.
I like it!
