scotts33 Also, the 10 degree head could have been crap weight and they loaded the tip with weight. I recall a hundred years ago when I played for real and Wilson Sports allowed me grind my own irons from their vintage models. I chose the bullet backs and started grinding to my preference .
No, I didn't know what the hell I was doing but I was ruining heads and tossing them in the 55 gallon garbage can.
Well, I got the #2 iron to look EXACTLY like I wanted it to be and left the heads for the guys at Wilson to assemble.
Two weeks of playing the irons, I couldn't hit the #2 iron the same way twice.
Pissed (imagine that) I tossed it at my golf bag while playing The Swallows Open in Florida.
It wasn't violent, but it broke the shaft about 10" from the hosel. Well, sticking out of the broken end of the saft was a LONG lead rope. Knew the other end was in the hosel.
That was the problem.
I sent MY ground head in, had THEM do it (right) and send back down to me.
Life was good again.
