Par4QC LogicalOne I thought that was your driver???? shokosugi 50 is not a good distance for me either, especially in the summer when even a full PW is a bit much My list.....ya both now have made it.... π
shokosugi Par4QC I hear ya Rex, 150 is not a good distance for me either, especially in the summer when even a full PW is a bit much π
scotts33 azgreg What changes need to be made to lie angles when going to Junge's single plane swing? I built single length Sterling irons 36 5/8" 63 deg. which is a TLT Series #7 8i. Alas I don't think I can keep doing a single plane swing as today I really put a lot of stress on my left knee and finished the round double plane lifting my left heel which is my normal double plane technique ie. Manuel de la Torre. I tried Venetos and Junge in an effort to relieve stress from left knee both seemed to work but as I used them more I think my old MDLT double plane swing with left heel lifted on the turn puts the least stress on my left knee.
Walterjn Sarnella he tweeked his left knee, and lifting his left heel when he turns it doesn't bother his knee. Due to lifting the left heel, he will probably be going away from single length clubs... Translation as I understand it.

Tinker Conclusion I have come to is a swing has to match your body type. I have been working on a Hogan style left arm pipe stiff drop the club inside swing and it doesnβt work great for me. Iβm a thick chest, shoulders and arms find of guy. A Nicklaus, Travino fade style swing fits me.
Rickochet Tinker Conclusion I have come to is a swing has to match your body type. Ok let's see, 72 with bad knees, bad back, broken left arm and shoulder. I'm not sure if there is a swing for that. π Maybe I need new clubs, yeah, that's the ticket. π
sdandrea1 Tinker Conclusion I have come to is a swing has to match your body type. .....and flexibility/ range of motion/injuries/disability.
fatshot sdandrea1 My 150 club is now a 27 degree "6" hybrid.....and I'd better hit it good to get 150. My 150 is a 24 degree "5" hybrid.....I don't even pay attention to whether it's called a 4, 5, or 6 anymore. I just look at the loft and the yardage it gives me. Into a breeze, sometimes it's even my 26 degree 9 wood. Almost embarrassing to haul out a wood to cover 150 yards.....unless I hit the green with it!! π€£
Walterjn fatshot don't even worry about what club you pull out, just make the best shot you can with it.
sdandrea1 fatshot Almost embarrassing to haul out a wood to cover 150 yards.....unless I hit the green with it!! I've used my 5w from 150 before. Uphill shots where a long miss is OK and short is bad.
Spuzz Rickochet I need new clubs, yeah, that's the ticket Rick Shiels has a swingless club. You should get one.
Tinker braveheart I am most comfortable with a slightly open stance. Iβm about ready to give up trying for a draw that rarely seams to work out.
colej Spuzz One of the guys I work with golfs in league with his friend that had a stroke. Heβs in bad shape and can barely walk. He bought one of those swingless drivers and itβs given him a reason to get out and do something.
braveheart Tinker I think I am about to do the same thing. The draw is so elusive now. Might just go setting up to hit just power fades.
