I am a nostalgic PING fan. When they moved to off-shore foundries and ferruled irons I have been pouting. Still a good company but not the great company they once were, IMHO. I still have a set of Eye 2 irons and a Craz-E putter but the old glory days of PING are over. They still hold their prices and don't introduce new models on a frantic pace, but I fear those days may be coming.

Most recently is was a two year cycle. Now they have moved to app 18 months.

Yeah noticing that with the iblade and now this. Seems like my ie-1 irons along with the G series irons were new.

      We have turmoil....

I saw them today. They look perfect. Like the finish better than my I e-1.

Now I'm hell bent on selling my 4-u set and getting these. I'll be putting mine on Craig's list tomorrow. If I can get $700 for mine which is inline with the pga value guide then I'll get the same shaft modus3 105 stiff and specs in the I200.

The only time I had the luxury of doing things like that for myself was before I had the family. It's easier to tighten the belt for just one person after splurging.
Good for you that you could do this for yourself.
I'm not complaining and I would not trade my obligation with anyone else. cause I know those with a deeper pocket also have obligations, at a much larger scale than mine.

          Release

If it works out it really might not cost anything. I have gift cards from 5 years of the same tournament/pro shop. Forgot I had them actually....no idea what I'd buy with them either until now. That would be the only way I'd do it.
