It seems mostly younger set, < 65, get out past 240 regularly in my experience . Certainly GPS gives reality check when we think we're out there in fantasy land. I still try the members tees if I feel lucky , but would be wiser to stick to super senior distance . Hard to give it up though . Lately, finding my pulled drives out at 230 with my new Cleveland 270UL, and think if I could play more often , I can gain on that a little .
My PW has always been my 100 yd club, but on a rare flush hit, might fly 15-20 over the target with my V2 Pings, not a problem when playing Mizzy irons . Not sure why I even carry 5 iron except it's good for punch shots, rely on hybrids for 160-180. Then 5W ,3W.
Thankfully, game can still be fun, even for distance challenged duffers like myself , especially if I'm playing it from short tees.
Some of the most fun times was playing the parr three tracks @Knight's Play in Apex, NC at night in summer time.
