So every definitive / declarative statement needs to have a caveat. At what price would you sell your soul?
In other words. You say you have ethics, morals and integrity. But at what price is all that so called integrity actually bullshit?
When will one of these assholes come out and say yes I do have integrity until someone reaches my price.
Or say the obvious. I have no ethics, morals or integrity. I’m all about the dollars.
Sneakylong It may be that their view of morals and ethics differs from yours, or that their their threshold levels are different than yours.

Or they had none to begin with.
Yeah, I’m already a multimillionaire with my integrity intact. But for a few more million it (my integrity) definitely is for sale.

Sneakylong ethics, morals or integrity
Japan pulled the dirty, sneak attack on Pearl harbor, then had several concentration camps and loved chopping off American heads during the war. When the U.S, finally got tired of all that shit, and saw they could not win, they nearly wiped the country off the face of the Earth with bombs.
The U.S. has made a wasteland of various parts of the Middle East, yet is standing idle about the invasion of Ukraine.
People all over the U.S. go hungry/homeless every hour, while we send billions of $$ to other countries to fight poverty.
And they send people over here to kill us.
Who has ethics, morals, or integrity? What exactly is all that??
BTW, Does some country need to blow up Saudi Arabia, just so you can like the LIV Tour?

Sneakylong I would gladly accept $100M, even from Russia today, to play golf.
Offer me that same amount of money to kill someone, and I will turn you down flat, with never a regret.
Do I have any morals, integrity, ethics?
Btw, never serve me liver, I just will never eat it and it disgusts me.
Gimme a braunschweiger sandwich with mustard & onion, and you'll need to serve me 2 of them.

If you accept $100 million from Russia then you’re only a single degree of separation from the actual deed yourself.
Make you sleep better?
Sneakylong or maybe their ethics are just not the same as yours?
Oh, that is a certainty.
Par4QC to play golf.
Even though there are many people that view golf as an immoral waste of resources and effort? A recreation for societal elites.
The resources and effort could be used to feed and care for those less fortunate.
At the rate everyone is going, if or when all of these tours finally agree to get along with each other, how are they going to get past what is being said.
I was surprised to discover over 200 US companies are doing business with the Saudis, between oil/petrol we import about 15% plus, our government sells billions in arms to them. We all in one way or the other appear to be using Saudis products, our money heading to the mid east.
But we have come to the point that Saudi sponsored Golf is bad, wrongs and those to part take are evidently the scum of the earth having no morals, ethics, or integrity. Who would have thought in the US chasing the dollar would cause such an uproar.
I hope they all come together, if not I hope LIV buys out the DP, puts more money in womens golf round the world, create some world class events for everyone. They have money let them use it for something that benefits others.

Billy Horschel's take. He makes a good point for those who say they want to play both LIV and the PGA Tour, but play less golf. LIV will go to 14 events next year and you have to play a minimum of 15 events to fulfill your PGA Tour contract. 29 events is not less golf.
Sneakylong Nice to hear Billy's comments. He's an insider and knows a lot more than I do, but it is obvious to anyone that is paying attention that the (currently successful) players who are leaving are doing so because they have an issue with Monahan. I'm glad that Horschel doesn't, but others clearly do.

This from 2017.....
John Deere has been named the official golf course turf equipment provider of the PGA of America.
I guess this contract won't be renewed, given the amount of business JD does in Saudi Arabia. Must be the last year also for the JDC, last week.
Who are the true hypocrites????
And, I do have to assume, The PGA will be moving their headquarters to Europe, what with the U.S. doing so much business there(SA)also. Let's be fair & honest, when we talk of others.
I agree. I guess I'm most curious about what the REAL issue is.
But we would be stupid to not take into account the current culture we are now stuck with today.
We now have elite college athletes making their decisions on which university to attend based on who's willing to pay them more. Even the universities themselves are leaving their longstanding conferences for other conferences based solely on revenue.
If NBA players aren't getting their share of the spotlight and fame, screw the contractual agreement with the team. I want out. And I want to play with so-and-so and their team, because in the end it helps my brand and my bank account. (Thank you, LeBron James..)
The same things are happening in other pro sports (MLB and NFL) but it's just disguised a bit better and more sanitized. But the time is coming when it will become obvious.
So this is where we are in society today, the point where everyone feels entitled to do whatever they want. And not only that, shame on anyone who doesn't agree with what we're doing.
Enough is never enough.
PA-PLAYA The money was certainly the most important element for guys like DeChambeau. Keopka (Brooks), and Johnson. It enabled them to sign for as much upfront money as they're likely to make from sponsorships over the next 10 - 20 years anyway. But I'm inclined to believe they still wouldn't have walked away from the tour and the accompanying fame if they didn't have some issue with Monahan. Don't know whether it is purely money, personality clashes, politics, or something else. But as soon as someone came along and gave them a way to make the same or more they were sure eager to leave.
johnnydoom But as soon as someone came along and gave them a way to make the same or more they were sure eager to leave.
With rare exceptions of those that joined, they all had plenty of money, and income from sponsors. More than they will ever use. So, I don't think it was money. Perhaps more of the thought of a take-over. And stopping a monopoly, that is getting too strong for it's own good.
" for those who say they want to play both LIV and the PGA Tour"
Who are they?
Haven't heard one ex PGA player say they want to play both. I think they left knowing that was it for the PGA
Only see DP guys that want to play "their" tour (hence the lawsuits), since they helped make it more known.
Horschel is outspoken and that's ok by me, but he isn't telling the whole story either, and is making assumptions.
15 PGA events (plus mandatory Pro Ams and Sponsor Events like RBC and also playing events they avoided in the past) and that's IF you did well enough to keep your card, and/or make it to the big money Fedex show.
How many guys have won the Fedex Cup playing the minimum number of events?
I will guess ZERO unless Tiger did it.
14 LIV events and 4? DP World Events (required) and play where and when you want after that makes that tour sound much better.
I watched that JP McManus Pro-Am tourney the past couple days. Players from all tours, inc. LIV were there. The golf, in itself, was 'pro-am' caliber.
But the people.....40,000 watching, and it was (typical) Irish weather, and they did not give 1 damn who played what tour.
Who cares who is playing where....except the PGA?
Here's a spot on quote from a "real" man, not some whiny PGA Tour shill.
Another real man.

Sneakylong He makes a point about the schedule, but I have to cancel him because his RLX hoodie is likely from China lol Maybe we need tour vs tour for their own money like us schmoes do on the weekend? I always knew watching golf with the sound off was the right way to go.

KCee but I have to cancel him because his RLX hoodie is likely from China lol
Velocity Global (on his hat) lists Saudi Arabia as one of the 185 countries they'll be happy to help you hire for and build a business team in.

More from Freddie. The sustainability question is interesting. The Saudi’s can well afford to throw $500 million a year away on golf. But will they?
LMAO
Now Rory is doing an about face and joining Martin Kaymer in sayin there needs to be peace talks between LIV and the PGA, after all the name calling and blah blah blah he initiated.
What a doofus.
I have no problem with the players of any sport getting as much as they can. Certainly wasn't always that way. The NCAA for years wouldn't allow a player to have anyone buy them a coke and now with the NIL's in college football it's completely flipped in the players direction.
And given how much money college football brings into the colleges every year the players now getting a cut doesn't seem to be out of line. Although it flipped big time. And now at least little Nicky Saban won't get the best recruits every year. lol Amateur athletes got screwed for a long time.
The NBA seems to be the most players friendly league out of all the professional sports. They have the most say of any of the leagues anyway. So again, I'm all about players getting as much as they can. No issue there with me.
The source of the money? Now that's a different story.
Sneakylong In your dreams Saban won't get the best recruits. Alabama has rabid fans and they have a lot of rabid fans who are wealthy businessmen.
Some of the lesser schools may have a well of money, too, and may get a few if the biggest names, but don't undersell the ability of a school like Alabama to do whatever it takes to keep themselves in the limelight.
Go Rory..... now who is next?????
Sneakylong. Sure they will, it's changing public opinion of them. I just saw them listed as the #7 country for female entrepreneurs and # 5 for LGBT couples to buy a home. It's working! It's working !
Not taking a shot at you personally, just the ridiculous idea that sports washing works
Par4QC It's all about the money. You don't seem to understand rich people and think of it as if you yourself had a couple million you'd be happy. These people can spend a million us on taxes, multiple home upkeep, private planes, etc. Not including the cost of said multiple homes, etc. Mike Tyson used to pay $250K a year just to feed his pet tigers. He went broke. They need more money if they hope to keep up that lifestyle.
I have a problem with people who don't honor their word.
Of course, there really is no honor among thieves.
