Kind of bummed out. I didn't realize that LIV was going to be right up the road in Nashville the week after the U.S. Open. Too late to change plans now, but I didn't know they would be there until YouTube ads started showing up last week.

Yesterday I heard bloviating from golf broadcasters about how everyone that went to the LIV tour knew what they were getting in to and LIV made no attempt at concessions to change their format and accommodate OWGR. True, but not complete. Never really heard anyone ask what concessions OWGR attempted to make and meet them in the middle knowing that several of the best golfers in the world play that tour. Not sure how to find out, but I have a feeling the exhibition tour probably now has more major wins than most of the 23 tours represented. It seems to me that a guy that finished 6th and 2nd in two majors this year should have been assessed higher than 38th. Cameron Young, who I actively root for and think is worthy of his ranking, was ranked 15 spots higher at 23. It may be the way it is, but by not wishing to include LIV as eligible, the OWGR is now not a credible source of accurate rankings. LIV is actually establishing credibility and OWGR is giving it away.

Hey toraider, can we change the title of the thread to LIV Golf?

I knew Rahm was stout, but didn't realize he actually looks bigger than Koepka. Two titans in a playoff with Koepka winning. They tore up The Greenbrier.

Fines in the millions? I can't imagine why any LIV players would even look back.

The DP World Tour would probably have the same response if the ‘fines’ were paid by the player. They don’t want Rahm or any others on their tour…

azgreg I can’t see the rest of the tweet but I think I get the gist.

Like him, I believe a merger will result in an elite tour or schedule, and then the journeymen. It’s basically that way now in the US.

There's a course by me that has announced they're hosting a LIV tournament. It used to be a seminary that had 27 holes, the nines were John, Mark and Luke. They had huge statues of saints on the first hole of each.
Anyway they sold and the new guys turned the seminary into a hotel and the 27 holes into an upscale 18. How upscale is the question as many people say a lot of the holes are the same , just better conditions. They want $180 now so not a place I'm likely to play. Going to the Liv tournament might be a cheap way to see the course. I'm kind of interested in how they could hold a professional tournament. Parking could be an issue (insert the "nobody goes to LIV tournaments" joke here) and hard to believe it was set up with good sight lines.
